"Aspen come on I've already told you I'm fine, I was cleared from the concussion my swelling and cuts are beginning to go and I'm still recovering remember" I hold the phone with the side of my face keeping a tight grip on it with my shoulder as I fold some laundry.

"I know Patri but I'm just taking all the precautions" she sighed. "If it makes you feel any better you can come over and examine me or whatever it is your fussing over" I chuckled whilst placing the folded clothes in the drawers of my dresser.

"Whatcha say Aspen you wanna come babysit me or what" I joked. "It's not babysitting Patri, it's me doing my job, it's literally what you pay me to do" I just knew she was shaking her head in disapproval of my joke on the other end of the phone.

"Fine let me rephrase it for you then, would you like to come over and do your precautionary checks that are included in the profession that I pay you to withhold and maintain" I question her.

"Yes Patri whatever bullshit you just recited off to me I want to do that, I'll be there soon" and before I knew it she had hung up. I laugh and slip my phone back into the pocket of my shorts. I walk back into the kitchen and grab the remainder of my clothes to put them away.

Not long after I heard a loudish knock at my door. "It's open" I call out and Aspen walks in moments after with a bland look on her face. "Hello to you too, yes im doing fine thank you for asking" I say sarcastically. "Patri I know you like to joke around and keep everyone's brain ticking a mile a minute but for the next 10-15 minutes can you please be serious I need to do this properly"

The excitement left my words and my shoulders slumped a little "sure". Am I really that much work to everyone else. "Take 2 of these" she pulled out a box of what looked like prescription pills and placed them in my hand.
"What are these for" I tried eyeing the box but the writing was too small to read from how far back I was standing. Which actually isn't that far at all the writing was so tiny and I'm blind as shit.

"They will make sure the swelling reduces a little bit faster than usual and keeps the fluidity of your blood normal so you heal correctly" she turned my head to each side with her hands examining it closely. "The bruising is still very bad, like very very bad Patri".
"I'm ok, it's only really sore when I touch it other than that it feels fine" I reassured her.

"Well I would like to think that it's sore when you touch it otherwise that would be quite weird and unnatural; possibly concerning" she chuckled.

"Smile for me" Aspen instructed, "cheeeeeseee". A small smile couldn't help but creep it's way onto her face. She shook her head "your something else" a laugh escaped her lips. "I promise if I felt something was off with me I'd tell you about it, I feel like every other time I've finished a fight" I reassured.

"Ok alright, but ice it at least 1-2 times a day for me, take 2 of these every 6 hours apart from when your asleep obviously" Aspen set the box of anti inflammatories onto the countertop. "Got it got it, ice and pills makes boo boos go away" i mimicked in a childlike voice almost as if I was talking to a dog.

She chuckled "yes precisely".  "So what're your plans for the rest of the day" I question her. "I have dinner with my boyfriends parents, and they think 'he's too good for me' so it's just going to be another silence filled awkward get together like usual" she began to rant.

Of course she has a boyfriend, it would be crazy for someone like that to be single, how the hell did I not know about this. You never took the time to ask her duh Patri use that fat ass head of yours for something good for once.

"Enough about my boring life what have you been doing the past few days anyway seeing as you can't really partake in any highly demanding physical activity like you usually do 24/7" she laughed.

"Nothing I haven't even left my apartment it's been pretty depressing actually, my days just kinda end as quick as they start, I haven't lived here for too long and because I'm technically classed as a celebrity the choice to make new friends was never really an option to begin with" I grab my glass of water from the counter before walking around to my couch to have a seat, I take a sip then place it onto the coffee table.

Aspens face contorts before she speaks "so you don't do anything besides fighting".  "I mean I go for walks in Central Park sometimes, usually at night to avoid being recognised and having the paparazzi tipped off by some random stranger I've walked past, I play games on my Xbox or go for drives too but that's about it" I rest my feet on the coffee table, one leg crossed over the other.

"Well why don't we go out and do some stuff together some time, you know get you out of this apartment and have a bit of fun" she suggested. "I pay you to be my physician Aspen, forcing you to go out and do things with me isn't what you signed up for" I replied.

"Your not forcing me to do anything Patri if I didn't want to I wouldn't have even offered in the first place" she looks down at her watch "listen I've got to go otherwise I'll be behind schedule and that's the last thing that I need right now, just think about it" she smiles and is out my apartment door quicker than she came in.
