*Mention of emotional abuse*

I was dancing with Leo in a beautiful flower field. There were wild lavenders and wild sunflowers. Everything was perfect. My family and Leo's family were not too far away, Bubba was playing with some butterflies, and here I was, in a beautiful white dress with a flower bodice and a tulle skirt, framing my body perfectly. And Leo. Whoo. Don't get me started. His sharp tux was perfectly squeezing against his muscles, accenting his biceps, one of my favorite things about him. The collar of his shirt really complimented his jaw line. His hair was in a clean man bun and he was smiling lovingly down at me. We leaned in, closer and closer and closer and then-

—•••—

"Sasha. Sasha," I heard Liv sing as she shook me awake.

"Come on, Sasha! Wake up you big log!" I heard Cade join in.

"I'm up, I'm....up," I yawned, lifting my head from my pillow. There goes my imagination again. I may be only 15, but I've always dreamed of becoming a bride, to be in love. To have someone love me. And I found it with Leo. Ever since we confessed our love, our love not feelings, I've had this recurring dream of us dancing in a flower field with our families nearby, enjoying the wedding me and Leo were hosting. Unfortunately, for now, it's only a dream.

"Come on! You have presents you can open! Let's go!" Cade practically dragged me out of bed.

"Presents? Why do I have presents?" I asked.

"It's your birthday, silly," Liv laughed, but, as if she realized something, she stopped laughing. "Did your former family ever do anything special for your birthday?"

"Unless you count the cake that said, 'You're Worthless' on it, then no," I shook my head.

"Damn, they're harsh," Liv mumbled.

"Tell me about it," I agreed.

"Happy Birthday Sasha!" my mom and dad cheered as I descended down the stairs. There was colorful confetti everywhere and pretty balloons that read 'Happy Sweet 16!' There was a three tier cake with the words 'Happy Birthday Sasha!' on the top. There was a couple presents on the table, but they didn't matter. What mattered was that I was spending my birthday with people who care for me for once.

"Thanks, you guys!" I thanked walking to the kitchen island. "You didn't have to get me anything."

"You're right, but we wanted to," my mom shrugged.

"Besides, you deserve it kiddo," my dad agreed.

"Here, open this one first. It's from me!" Cade told me, shoving a small box in my hand. I opened it to see the new game Call of Duty: Ghosts he got from our last vacation at the Bahamas. We were able to go because our shooting schedule has been a little weird on Kickin' It and We Didn't Do It isn't filming until next year.

"Thank you Cade! Now we can play this the next time we game," I gestured between me, him, and Liv. Most people don't realize how much me and Liv like to play video games with Cade. It's a fun sister/brother bonding experience.

"This one is from me, mom, and dad," Liv told me, handing me a Pandora box. I looked at her questioningly, opening the box to see my lucky charm bracelet. Well, not the exact same one, but a replica. "I found a picture with your bracelet in it and since you gave your other one to the little girl, I thought you'd might like a replica."

"I'm gonna cry," I laughed out, trying not to tear up. "Thank you so much!" I hugged Liv, then mom, then dad.

"Now, come on. We've gotta get to the studio," Liv beckoned me to the car.

"Why? I'm not supposed to be filming anything til March," I reminded them.

"Just come on," Liv pulled me into the car. It didn't take long to pull up to the studio. We walked into the pitch black studio, them excitedly and me confusedly.

"Surprise!" every cast and crew member cheered as all the lights flipped on and everyone popped up from their hiding spots. I smiled so big, my cheeks started to hurt.

"Happy birthday Sasha," Leo came up to me, hugging me then pecking my lips.

"Thanks," I beamed, looking around the newly decorative place. "I'm guessing this is why you were so Mr. Secret for the past month or so?"

"Yep, but your reaction was worth it," Leo nodded. Throughout the party everyone wished me a happy birthday and gave me a present. This is definitely the best birthday ever. Nothing can top it. The party started to die down around 6:00pm or so, leaving a giant mess. "Don't worry about the mess. Me and a couple other crew mates are gonna clean it up," Leo assured.

"But then I'm gonna feel bad," I pouted.

"Well, don't. Think of this as a birthday present," Leo suggested. "Speaking of which, I bought you this." He handed me a golden chain necklace with our initials engraved on a golden heart.

"It's gorgeous," I gaped. "How did you afford this?"

"With a lot of money," Leo deadpanned, making me laugh a little. "Let me help you put it on." Leo took the metal clasp and secured on a golden chain, letting the necklace rest on my collar bone. "Now, go home. Mr. and Mrs. Holt have one more surprise for you," he winked before walking away. Before I could say anything, Liv was dragging me to the car again. Once again, we drove the quick drive before stepping into the house again.

"Stay right here. I'll me right back," my mom promised. She went to the other room, coming back with a folder.

"What's this?" I asked skeptically.

"Open it," Liv encouraged excitedly. When I opened it, I immediately started crying. Happy crying. The folder read:

Certificate of Adoption
This is to certify that
Sasha Clearwater
has been formally adopted into
the Holt family
by Kim Holt and Mark Holt
on this November 20th
day of 2014

Ok, I lied. This definitely topped the surprise party. I'm adopted into a family that loves me. That's all anyone could ask for.
