Giselle's P.O.V
A blond girl around our age came bounding toward the group.
"Guys, there is so much that needs to be done. What are you all still doing here?!" she said scolding Matt and Elena. "And have either of you seen Bonnie?"
She opened her mouth to say something else but stopped whe she noticed me standing there being very awkward.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry! That was rude of me. Hi I'm Caroline," she smiled brightly at me, and held out her hand.
"I'm Giselle," I smiled back, and shook her hand.
"Giselle. That's such a pretty name, also your eyes. Are they naturally violet?" she asked stepping closer to get a better look at my face.
"Yeah we were wondering the same thing," Elena added, her and Matt looking at me now.
"Yeah they're real," I replied, blushing. I've always been weirded out in having an eye color so rare, like it was just another factor that made me strange. But I had done a lot of research in the past on Alexandria's Genesis, which was the genetic mutation for having purple eyes, and thankfully other normal people had them. Of course there was always crazy claims scientists believed came with the mutation like having shimmering white skin that can withstand burns and bruising, no body hair, no menstrual cycles, a strong immune system, and cannot physically produce waste.
But in reality, I just have pale skin that not only is quick to burn but bruises like a peach. I do have my regular periods and body hair, which grows back slower and thinner than the average girl, but I do have a strong immune system because I take my vitamins everyday.
And yes, I do in fact poop.
"That's so cool! I seriously wish I had your eyes!" Caroline pouted.
"So what was it you were talking about that was of such importance?" Elena asked.
"Well first off we need to get ready for Senior Prank Night tonight. I want the whole school to be filled with mousetraps, glue, toilet paper, and something sticky on the door handles, like honey! Another thing that could work is-"
"Caroline! It's already the first day of school. Prank night was supposed to happen before senior year started," Elena interrupted.
"Yeah what would be the point now?" Matt added.
Caroline's mouth flew open, her expression clearly offended. I almost laughed but remembered how inappropriate I might come off as, plus I was hoping to befriend them.
"What is the point? What is the point?! The point IS to make memories this year! And we will ALL indulge in senior traditions as this is our last year of high school and I will not graduate without having a Senior Prank Night!" she ranted.
"But it's not tradition anymore if it's not on the same day," Elena pointed out.
"Yeah well it is tradition if we honor it as such. And we will treat it like the day before school because we could not be here yesterday to do it, so the ghosts of Mystic Falls High school have to forgive us." Caroline beamed and clapped her hands. "Oh and I've already convinced the principal to pardon us from school so we can get supplies and stuff."
"Of course you did," Matt sighed, scratching his head.
"I don't know Caroline, I'm not really feeling up to it," Elena sighed.
"Oh c'mon please!" Caroline begged. "I want to spend this year with you guys doing all sorts of senior-y things!"
But it didn't look like Elena or Matt were going to give in anytime soon.
