"This is a really bad idea, Jenna."

"Stop being a coward, Mark."

"Oh shut up, Darren."

Darren laughed, opened the door, and motioned us inside. Jenna eagerly ran up the creaky stairs and waited for me at the top. I, on the other hand, was the complete opposite of eager. I gripped the rusty metal railing and climed up the creaky wooden steps. I was starting to wish Jenna didn't convince me to go with her boyfriend to this stupid abandoned house. When I got to the top of the stairs, Darren whispered something in my big sister's ear and pointed at me. She snickered and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"All right,"Darren said after he gave Jenna a kiss in return."Each of us gets a flashlight and a camera." He handed out each of the items to us. I looked at the flashlight in my hand. It didn't seem very dependable, but at least it was better than no light at all.

"Remind me why this is a good idea again?" I turn on the camera and point it at Darren.

"Because," he put his hand on the camera lens. "Don't you want to know where all the missing children have gone?"

"Not really,"I muttered. I glanced nervously at the moon then gazed at the forest. Who in thier right mind would go into a spooky forest at night, venture into a abandoned house, and look for the reason why little kids disappeared?

"Come on, Mark. Where's your sense of adventure?"Jenna asked.

"At home, relaxing in bed playing pokemon with one hand in it's pants."

Jenna glared at me. "You are disgusting."

Darren gave me a pat on the back. "Sometimes I like this kid!" He sound the open door back and forth. "Are you comin or not, Mark?"

"Fine," I groaned. I trudged over the threshold of the door and stood in the dark house. Jenna turned on her flashlight and followed. Darren came in after her and shut the door behind him. I turned on my flashlight and the camera back on and took in my surroundings.

The house was bigger than it looked. It was dusty and had a dying smell to it, as if the house itself was a rotting corpse. The floorboards were creaky and some of them were missing. In the very center of the ceiling, there was a giant hole where a chandelier might've been. I shone my flashlight on a statue of an angel. It seemed to weep and cry for help. It chilled me to the bone.

"This place isn't creepy at all," I said sarcastically. "This was a great idea, by the way. We are going to die from either falling through the floor." I paused and stomped on one of the loose floorboards, causing it to fall into the basement. "Or by choking on the dust, mold, and mildew."

Darren rolled his eyes. "And this is why we aren't friends, kid. You complain too much, you sissy."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. "This is why we are here." He unfolded the paper and held it up to us then put it in front of the camera. It had a weird drawing on it. It had a face and two xs where the eyes should have been. Underneath the drawing, there were words that read: Has no eyes. Sees all.

Jenna looked at it. "What do you think it means?"

"I don't know. I found it a few days ago, just hanging on a old pine tree." He have the page to me, and I looked at it; something wasn't quite right about this. Darren continued,"I found more pages too: there was one in an abandoned building, one in a concerete tunnel, and more just hanging around on trees. And it might have something to do with the disappearances."
