~Continuation of Ness's P.O.V~

I looked towards Toonie and smiled. "Okay, let's get through this," I put my right hand around Lucas's shoulder and guided him towards the door, with Toonie following behind.

We strolled through the halls, the noises grew louder and the halls started to go pitch black "Hold on to my shirt, Toonie," I ordered and I held Lucas tighter. We couldn't see a thing. Lucas whimpered loudly, all of a sudden I couldn't feel Lucas in my arms. What? I tried to feel around in the space in my arms.  "Lucas?!"  My eyes widened, I lost him. Damn it. "What's wrong, Ness, my brave valiant soldier?" I rolled my eyes at the title. "Lucas is gone," I said, screaming his name. "Hold on tight, Toonie," I started to run around, seeing if I can at least try and hear his voice through the halls. Others could be heard screaming and crying. I couldn't find his voice.

After a while, I screamed in frustration. He was nowhere. When I said I would be there for him. Toonie still held onto my shirt. "We need to find the exit, and tell them that Lucas is gone," Toonie tried to reason. I smiled

"We will find him," I whispered. I have to find him.

For some reason, the lights came back on. A changing mansion. What kind of mansion is this? But once the lights came on. Lucas was there two feet away. He looked okay.

"Lucas?" I held out my arms but he turned and walked away. I ran after him to see a random room. I snuck to the side of the door and motioned Toonie to do the same. We both put our hands on the door and I pushed it quickly to see Lucas, lying on the floor. "Lucas?" I ran towards him but he faded away.

 MROOOWR!! !

"Ahh! O-oh it was just a cat," Toonie said, while looking around the room "Such a mansion, wonder who built it," I sighed, you know he can just change right away. Like, from a scaredy-cat to wondrous hero.

The cat showed up at my leg, trying to make me pet it. I pet it, the black grey-ish fur that felt soft against my hand. I just had to find Lucas.

"N-ness! What are you doing?" Toonie said in a scared whimper. I looked towards him. "What?" He looked at me "Get that cat off your leg, its bad luck," Toonie said, trying to shoo off the cat. Is he really suspicious about a black cat? It is only a cat. I got up, trying to not hit the cat. I left Toonie to shoo off the cat.

I needed to know where Lucas was. It has got to be a maze. I looked towards the door and the way we came in. "Ness?" I jumped and sighed. I was thinking. "What is it?" I said in a grumpy tone. "Look," He said, pointing towards the ground. A different cat looked at us and tilted his head. A key dangled from around its neck. Lucas.

"Let's go," I said, pulling Toonie's hand. The cat started to leave. We followed it to only be lead to another hall way of doors. What is with all the doors? The cat was gone.

I sighed and looked towards the ground. A key, a ghost, and a black cat, plus a bunch of doors. Wait! I paced around in circles, trying to focus on what I was looking for. I closed my eyes and thought of Lucas.

 "Ness!"

I could hear him faintly but where is he? I started to run towards his voice, with Toonie behind me. I want to see him. To hold him again. Not let him go. Please, Lucas. Help me find you!

"Lucas!" I shouted, running out into the halls.

 Lucas P.O.V

I looked around and saw that I was in a simple room with two other people. Ness, where is he? Ness, c'mon you got to be around here. You wouldn't leave me here. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen him since the lights turned off.
