I walked in the door with Zach in my arms and Dan following with his carrier. We escaped in his nursery and I rocked him in my rocking chair for a few moments.
The nursery has a crib again the far wall, a a small dresser on the side wall, my rocking chair next to the crib, and some storage shelves for baby necessities. There's also paintings on the walls and other cute things that Holly and Suzy made for the room. Holly even made a cute light blue blanket for him.
I was snapped back into reality when he started crying. I learned he needed a diaper change and swiftly did what he wanted. He cooed after I was done, making me chuckle, and carried him out to the livingroom.
"Hey Danny, I need to go take a shower, I'll be right back." I said, leaving him with his happy father.
"Honey, you know you can calm down a bit. I can take care of him too." He said, making me breath a sigh of relief, " go take a shower and take a nap, I can handle myself."
"Thanks babe. I needed that." I said, smiling, heading to the shower.
