Thought Can Take Over You

"Hey you!" Aoi turned over to her right shoulder.

"Huh- what!?" The boy had asked.

"You need to stop taking food! You, Tanjiro and that Zenitsu will get your food soon so be patient."

"I'm not taking any food! I swear!

"You've just stuffed it all in your mouth, you can't fool me!"

"There isn't anything in my mouth!" Inosuke explained after chewing down his food

Inosuke left soon after and left Aoi.

Aoi POV:
Inosuke was very questionable. He didn't know how to read or write and he does not have any manners at all! I wouldn't mind teaching him, I'd be happy to, actually. Not that I don't find him annoying and a lot to handle, I just like helping people in any way because I still feel guilty about being too much of a coward to go continue in the Demon Slayer Corps. Yes, that's it! I'll help Inosuke with reading, writing and basic manners if he isn't too exhausted from training, and of course, if he doesn't come back too injured from a mission. I just hope he doesn't come out an entire new person if I teach him, I really like how he is at the moment. He's funny and overly confident, which really stands out in him! I'll run this plan over with Shinobu-sama and hopefully have it fit in my day routine.

"Shinobu-sama!" Aoi called.
"Yes, Aoi-chan?" Shinobu questioned.
"Well I was wondering if I'd be able to teach Inosuke-kun how to read and write, also manners!" Aoi exclaimed.
"Well, I don't see a problem with it. Try to fit it in your schedule." Shinobu said in her elegant voice
"Thank you, Shinobu-sama."
"No need to thank me." Shinobu said with a small smile.

Aoi planned to tell Inosuke about the lessons after he had finished training. She would offer Inosuke her lessons and if he agreed, then she'd figure what time worked best for the both of them.

"Okay so, I thought maybe I could give you some lessons on writing and reading, Inosuke-kun. So I need to know if you actually want me to give you lessons." Aoi explained.

"Bahmwahhaagha! I think I could surpass Monjuro if I get lessons from you!" Inosuke said in cheer.

"So, you do want lessons?" Aoi asked once more.

Inosuke nodded in response.

The next day Aoi was hanging some bed sheets, when Zenitsu came approaching her.

"Hey Aoi-san!" He said in his happy squealed voice.
"Yes, Zenitsu?" Aoi questioned.

"Well I heard you are going to teach Inosuke how to read and write. Well you know, sometimes I also can't read and write! Maybe you should teach me too! Will the other girls be there?" Zenitsu asked wobbling around with his index fingers together and his thumbs pointed upwards.

"Sorry but I'm only giving lessons to Inosuke." She quickly snapped back.

"Well it's fine! I'll just go and hang out with Nezuko-chan."

"Zenitsu, please don't bother her." Aoi replied.

Aoi decided she would start her lessons with Inosuke that Wednesday, after she took in the washing. And that was after Inosuke's combat training. It was already Monday so lessons were right up the corner.

Wednesday morning. Aoi looked up towards the sky after hanging the washing. Suddenly remembering her foolish self thinking she could become a demon slayer, gosh she even thought she'd get up to the rank of a hashira. Her being a water pillar would be so bizarre and that's where she thought she'd be. As she trained those years ago, she really thought she was ready to take the final selection but around 4 months before her final selection she believed, something suddenly hit her. Did she really think a small girl like her could become a demon slayer? Oh my, she'd literally die on the first day!

When she says something suddenly hit her, Aoi meant literally. A demon appeared right in front of her, it had dark purple shoulder length  hair with bright blue bangs that dropped down right below his eyebrows and a small orange triangle below each of his blue eyes. He wore a light brown kimono with a striped pattern and he wore drop earrings with rubies at the bottom. She remembered it so vividly, even though it was just a dream she had after training. The demon had slapped Aoi's face and said something along the lines of:

" A foolish girl like you becoming a demon slayer? Thinking you can become a great water hashira!? As if! Let's make a bet! If you die in the final selection, you give me 10 million yen! Oh wait! This doesn't seem very fair. You would already be dead!" He laughed as he faded away.

After that, Aoi shook her head realising it was just a dream. She laid in bed and thought to herself.
"Maybe I can't become a demon slayer. Will I..."
She then paused and her eyes got watery.
"Will I... make it past final selection." She whispered to herself.

Fear.

Fear was what the girl felt. As final selection grew closer. Was she really skilled enough? That demon did say she- that she'd probably just die. Was that demon even real? What did he know? He hasn't even met the girl. Since it was a dream, did that mean that it was her putting herself down with the negative comments? If that was the case, she'd feel guilty. Because of herself, she felt bad and scared. Dying in the final selection would have everybody disappointed and angry at her. Everything she was taught had gone to waste. There's no demons in the afterlife. The skill would go to nothing.

Aoi shook her head and quickly turned her head towards the washing she put up. She had went back to a memory she wish she had forgotten.

Well, the sun would set in an hour or so, she went to take in the washing. Then went to wait where she said she'd teach Inosuke-kun.

This day was pretty 𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎  for some reason

THUD THUD THUD

"HEY! IS THIS THE ROOM!?"
Inosuke barged through the door.

"Yes, this is the room." Aoi said calmly.

Okay this is my first story here and I'd like the chapters at least 1000 words. This chapter literally took me more than a week because I don't even know my plot atm. I have some sort of idea and I hope it works out okay. Byes 🦕
