Wisteria

Aoi had a lot of knowledge in medicine and things related to that topic, but she wanted to know how to make the a poison containing wisteria. Shinobu-sama said she would help her so Aoi was now waiting in the Medicine Room.

"Good evening, Aoi-chan! I think I'm on a mission tomorrow so we can try to finish this today." She said in her calm voice, with a passionate smile.

Shinobu opened and reached through a wooden box, and pulled out a small bush of wisteria. Along with a wooden mortar and pestle, finally she pulled out a container of water?

"Here Aoi-chan, please crush the wisteria until there are no more lumpy bits, okay?" She said turning to the water, and grabbing a a tube with a blue, mysterious liquid. It looked like it was enough to poison somebody. Aoi did not question it.

After Aoi was finished crushing the wisteria into powder, she turned over to Shinobu, who had mixed the liquid into the water.

Aoi passed over the wisteria powder over to Shinobu, who mixed it into the water and put it over the flame to heat.

"Okay! We're all done, when this finishes heating, I'll put it into the sun and let it evaporate. It should be ready when I get back from my mission." The girl said waving goodbye to Aoi.

"Thank you, Shinobu-sama! Good luck on your mission!" Aoi waved, walking out of the medicine room.

Later that day, Aoi was cooking lunch for the Demon Slayers, she was frying tempura. (Inosuke really likes  tempura) She handed it to Sumi-chan so she could hand it to the boys.

She hung up the washing, washed the dishes, gave Tanjiro-kun medicine and then gave Inosuke-kun his medicine. (That's difficult)

Her day was very easy, she felt very calm.

Zenitsu was sent out on a mission the next day, Aoi wishes nothing but good luck to him. Zenitsu is really powerful! He has been training his breath style constantly, here at the butterfly mansion. Aoi knew little about Thunder Breathing but he seemed to be attempting a form she was unfamiliar with. Thunder breathing has six forms, right?

The day after, Aoi decided to go collect some wisteria from the wisteria trees, for some reason Inosuke-kun was...following her? (She didn't think anything of it)

"Why are you following me, Inosuke-kun? You should be getting rest!" Aoi asked, scolding him for his lack of rest. (This is probably why he doesn't recover fast enough from missions)

"I want to see where you are going! What if there's a demon! You would be in trouble!" He said taking out his swords.

"But I'm walking to the wisteria trees." She gave him a blank stare. (He's actually very stupid.)

"Oh uh." Inosuke said losing concentration to the situation.

"That's fine you can walk with me." Aoi offered to Inosuke.

As they walked down the path together, she turned to face the boy.

"Your mask is hanging up. I washed it earlier." She told him.

"Oh okay, that's fine." He replied, having his eyes still focused at the wisteria trees. This is new. He's quiet.

"Want to make wisteria champlets?" She asked with her eyes lighting up and smiling.

"Eh? What's that. Okay!" He turned to face her, raising his voice a bit.

Around 15 minutes had past, they had made two matching champlets. Inosuke noticed Aoi really liked wearing them. That was cute. He also really liked them. It made him feel like the king he is.

10 more minutes went by. They made another two. They looked really nice. Aoi felt so happy. She had always loved making champlets. And to make one out of wisteria made her feel really nice.

It was now around 7:30 so Aoi and Inosuke walked back to the mansion. She went over to the clothing line and unpegged the boar mask. It was dry by then so she handed it to Inosuke.

He thanked Aoi and placed the mask on top of his head, then walked back inside.

She handed food over to Sumi-chan, Kiyo-chan and Naho-chan so they could give it to Tanjiro, Inosuke, Kanao and Genya.

"Aoi-chan, the wisteria should have evaporated by now. Quick, let's go take a look."

"Oh hello Shinobu-sama! I'm glad you've come back safely from your mission!" Aoi replied sounding a bit startled, while following Shinobu to the medicine room.

After they entered the room they walked straight over to the wisteria and it had become a blue chunk of what looked like crystals. It was very pretty.

"Okay, Aoi-chan! You can keep the crystal. If a demon approaches you, just throw it at them or something. Kay?" Shinobu said, her instructions seemed unclear and foolish but it was probably best to take her seriously and that it would probably work.

That night, Aoi decided to keep the wisteria on her bedside table. It looked beautiful when light was shown through it.

Wisteria is such a pretty name, and the flower is beautiful. Shame it's not the most suitable for me.

That's what Aoi heard call beside her in a sly voice. She quickly turned to the direction of the voice. There was nobody. Will she ever get to encounter that demon? She decided to go see Inosuke in the morning since he has also been having trouble with the demon. Maybe he even got to see the demon. Aoi hoped that the demon isn't any harm and is just there to mess with certain people, like Inosuke and herself.

She then remembered she had a lesson with Inosuke. So yeah, she'll talk to him then.

The sun rose and Aoi woke, she went outside to do some chores as usual.

"Hey Zenitsu, you're back! Did everything work out okay?" Aoi waved, seeing that Zenitsu was now back from his mission. He seemed very tired and it seemed that some bones were broken.

"Oh, hey Aoi. Yeah, I killed the demon but it was very scary." Zenitsu replied with his eyes going watery. Tears started falling, must've been a difficult mission.

Head canon that Zenitsu and Aoi get along and are friends ･◡･
I like this chapter. My mind never really went blank while writing this one. I have all my chapters planned out now so yay ᗒ ◡ᗕ
