Chapter 2: 1905
1905: this chapter is a brief flashback to 1905
I looked around waiting for Elijah. He and I were to take off for a little while somewhere far, far away from this place. He and I have been together for a few years now and it's been the happiest years of my life.
Elijah turned me when I found out what he was months after we met. I was afraid for a time but eventually learned to accept that part of him, afterall I love him. Also, he knew he could hurt me so I gave him a solution so things wouldn't turn out terrible in the end, that's when he turned me.
Now he was running late which was very peculiar knowing it's Elijah. I paced back and forth in the old theater. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the show except me. I turned to watch the actors then suddenly felt someone grab my arm.
"We must leave immediately," Elijah whispered into my ear. I turned around to face him and then frowned. He was looking around, and looked as if he was panicking. Elijah never panics.
"What's the matter?" I put my hand over his.
"My father, Mikael has returned to kill Nikklaus," he breathed out.
"Where is he?" I gripped his hand now, almost holding onto dear life.
"I'm not so sure, let's go." Elijah and I ran out of the theater but the doorway was blocked by a bloody Nikklaus.
"Brother, he is not far," he stumbled onto the ground. I gulped, I have never seen Nikklaus in person until now. Elijah had always kept me away from him.
"Get out of here, hide, stay away and be safe please," Elijah kissed my forehead before letting me go. I ran off backstage hoping the actors wouldn't mind.
I heard screams before I was able to find a hiding spot making me nervous and afraid. I looked around but didn't find a thing to hide in. Now there were people running and screaming everywhere. Some pushed me causing me to fall, getting trampled on.
"Where is he?" I heard someone yell, most likely Mikael.
"Father, why must you?" Elijah said.
I crawled to the wardrobe area and hid behind the clothes. As a fight went on I heard things fall and tumble. Before long Elijah walked towards me, bloody and with ripped clothes. He didn't seem to see me as Klaus grabbed him.
"We must go now!" Klaus said.
"And what of Alessandra?" Elijah followed him as they ran out.
"She must already be outside," Klaus pulled him along.
When I looked up, I realized why they were in such a hurry. The building was burning down. I tried to find a way out but everything seemed to be blocked. I coughed, the smoke getting to my lungs. Soon, I closed my eyes and collapsed on the ground.
