Text message (Draft)

I really liked this idea when I was writing it but never finished it, I may post more drafts later.

Colin's POV:
I was pacing back and forth with my phone on my desk.
I'm waiting for seek to message me well the 'girl' he meet.
I walk past my desk as I get a notification from Seek.
I grab my phone and jump onto my bed, I unlocked it reading the message.
'Hey it's me Seek the guy you gave your number to last night'
"Hmm" I look over the message thinking about what to text him.
'Hey Seek' I text back nervously chewing on my lip, a bad habit I had gotten from watching my dad do paperwork.
'I was hoping we could talk more' Seek texts.
'Yeah you like any moves?' I text.

It's been a week of texting seek I wasn't planning to lead him on with this 'girl' I was going to text him for a bit then ghost him but now I don't want to hurt him like that.
I was coding a new virus that shows me all the schools documents well hopefully it will when I get it on one of the teachers laptops.
I type another line of code as I do I get a notification.
I look down at my phone "oh" I smile as I open it to see another text from Seek.
'Hey sweetie hope you are having a nice day what have you been up to?'
I smile texting back 'my day has been good just doing some homework' I text back.
'What subject?' He asks
'My coding class' I text back.
'Oh my roommate is really into his computers and coding and things like that' he texts.
'Oh really that's pretty cool' I text back.
It's not to uncommon for him to mention me or one of his other friends to me... this girl.
I enjoy texting him a lot even when I'm doing homework or I'm busy in general I have stated to drop everything just to text him.
I'm starting to think I'm going a little to far with this all but a can't find it in me to stop talking with him.
'I was wondering if you wanted to hang out tomorrow?' He texts.
'Sorry I have a lot of homework to do' I text back.
'That's fine you still want to text or should I leave you to do your homework?'
'I can text for a little' I text back smiling.
I've been talking to seek for the last few hours it's now ten pm.
'You should get back to your homework' he texts.
'But I enjoy taking to you' I say.
'I do too but don't you need to do homework?'
'Fine I'll text you when I get time.'
'Bye cutie' he says.
"Ahh" my face heats up he called me cute? No he called my drone cute.
'Bye bye' I text before closing my phone.
Over the last week I feel as if I've been getting closer to Seek however that is very much one sided, but I don't mine feeling like better friends then we actually are.
"Hey Colin do you want to get something to eat I wanna get some food" Seek says standing by my door.
"Yeah" I nod grabbing my bag this my wallet and pick up my phone.
"Where are we going?" I ask "probably the 7 eleven I don't really know what's open at the moment" he says running his hand though his hair.
"Lets go" I smile walking down the stairs.
We walk down the streets "hey Colin why did you again to come with me?"
"You asked me to come?"
"No why you usually don't wanna hang out when your working"
"Well I haven't eaten since lunch"
"What have you been doing with your time?"
"Your mum" I giggle.
"Hey!" He pushes me off the path onto the grass I catch myself by stepping back.
"I was joking I was doing homework" I pat his back.
"Oh ok" he looks down at his phone.
"You been talking to that girl?"
"Yeah I was actually talking to her today" he says turning the corner.
"How do you feel about her?" I ask as we walk into the 7-eleven.
"I really like her she's so fun to talk to a can talk with her for hours"
"You can?"
"Yeah I was texting her for almost seven hours today" he says grabbing an orange juice and sushi from the fridge.
"Oh that's a long time" I say grabbing a bag of chips and a sandwich.
"Did you eat dinner?" I ask looking at the drinks.
"No I was texting" he giggles "you have a nice laugh" I smile.
"You think so?" He says walking over to the counter to pay for his stuff.
"Yeah" I get a chocolate milk.
"Hey what can I get for you today?" The lady at the counter asks.
"Just these please" he puts his stuff on the counter.
"That'll be eight fifth" she types into the cash register.
"Here" he hand her some cash.
"And what is your boyfriend getting?" She asks looking over at me.
"Here and I'm not his boyfriend" I hand her my things.
"Oh sorry dear I wasn't trying to be rude" she types into the cash register again "that's seven sixty" "thankyou" I hand her the money before walking out with my stuff.
"Hey that was odd" Seek says walking with me.
"Yeah" I nod.
"You wanna eat together?" When we get back?" He asks "yeah I mean it's only eleven" I say looking at my phone.
"Race you home?" He asks "Seek I don't run" "to bad!" He runs off, I giggle to myself and follow him.
When we get back home he was panting leaning against the door.
"Good run?" I ask walking towards him "I need to sit down" he says walking inside.
"Want the lights on?" I ask shutting the door "no I like the dark" he says catching his breath.
"Well what do you wanna talk about?" I ask sitting next to him.
"The girl I met?" "Fine tell me about her?" "Well she's kind and fun to talk to she has a lot of interesting like coding and stuff like that a lot like you. She makes funny jokes and is really comforting to talk to we have a lot in common" he smiles.
"That's cool" I nod.
"I think I want to date her" "really?" I ask my face heats up.
"Yeah" "would you wanna date her if you didn't meet her first?" "What do you mean?" "Like if you just texted her and hadn't seen her?" "Yeah probably she's amazing" "I feel tired I think I'm going to bed now" I say walking upstairs "you didn't eat yet" Seek says.
"Just put my stuff in the fridge you can have the chips" I say closing my door.
I lay on my bed kicking off my shoes, I'm so dumb I'm making Seek fall for a girl that doesn't exist.
I open my phone and type out a message 'hey Seek I need to talk to you about how I feel about you' I delete the message retyping it.
'Hey I wanna talk to you about my something' I send it.
I wait for a reply as I do I look over old texts we text a lot I fine one where he asks me how I was and other nice messages.
'What did you wanna talk about?" Seek texts back.
'I think we should stop talking' I delete the message rewording it.
'I think I have feelings for you' I send it.
Why am I doing this it has gone way to far I should just tell him I can't text him anymore.
I bite my lip as he texts back 'I like you too' I'm an idiot he just told me he likes her I've crossed a line.
'I have something else to tell you'
I panic once I send it 'I can't talk with you anymore' I send.
'Why?' He asks.
'I have a boyfriend' I text.
'But you like me?' He asks.
'Yeah that was a joke' I text before blocking him.
I feel my chest hurt as I imagine seeks reaction.
"Colin can I come in?" I hear from out side my room.
"Yeah" I lock my phone.
"Colin" Seek walks in his eyes full of tears.
"Hey what happened?" I ask patting my bed.
"The girl I was texting has a boyfriend" he frowns.
"Hey it's ok man" I pat his back.
"Can I have a hug?"
"Yeah" I hug him as he lets a few tears fall.
His breath is shaky as he backs away from the hug.
"Colin?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think she was just using me as a joke?"
"Seek" I hug him again, I can't believe I did this to him gods I wish I never texted him.
"Seek?" I ask looking down at him.
He had fallen asleep.
