What are the odds?

Chapter 2

Klaus-

Klaus was sitting in one of the many rooms in the mansion painting or in this case staring at the blank canvas. Grabbing the glass on his left that was half filled with bourbon. Drinking the liquor in one gulp enjoying the burning sensation it caused going down his throat. Refilling his glass for the 8th time Klaus tries to figure out what is he doing. Not what it is that he's literally doing but what is he doing still in this crappy town. After every thing that has happen why is he still here?

The reason He came here in the first place was to break the cruse his mother put on him blocking his wolf side. And after 1000 years he has succeeded in doing that. Becoming a hybrid has been Klaus's goal since he found out what he truly was. Which was the top goal for many reasons. 1 being out of Curiosity of what he will be do as both wolf and vampire. 2 thinking it would give him a upper hand in the on going battle with his father. 3 being a pretty obvious reason klaus wanted power. But 4 being the main reason which was klaus thinking that by unlocking the wolf side he would be closing the void that he had since he could remember .

The void Klaus felt always made him feel as if he were missing something or someone. As if there where a peace of him missing ,like he didn't have his other half. Thinking for a long time the missing peace was his wolf side. In which made undoing the curse his mother placed on him 10x more important. But now Klaus is a full hybrid and the void is still intact. "maybe it's my witch side" Klaus wonders to him self. For the fact his father never let him nor his other brothers practice the gift of magic saying "magic is a woman's art" or something among those words he couldn't quite remember not that he really cared. The only one out of them that really got into magic was kol.

Kol..... just thinking about his brother builds up anger in him. Even tho Klaus was more close to Elijah and Rebekah didn't mean he didn't love kol he was his brother after all. Tho Kol might not think it Klaus did love him and seeing the doppelgänger and the newbie hunter kill him did hurt him (a lot more did he will ever say) and the same goes with Finn. Having the knowledge that two of his siblings are dead brings feelings like anger, vengeance and guilt. Anger because who killed his brothers are still left breathing. Vengeance because he wants to cause pain to those who caused pain to him and his family. And guilt because he knows if he never wanted to kill the doppelgänger to break his curse they would still be breathing (most likely daggered but still alive).

But he has not made a move towards them why? He has every reason to kill them they killed both of his brothers, tried to kill him (more then once) but yet he continues to let them see another day but why? Because what he feels for the newbie vamp? Because his friendship with Stefan back in the 20s? No. To be honest Klaus doesn't know why he continues to let them live he has killed people for far less. So what makes these little pest different? All these questions and Klaus can't find one valid reason.

And that brings him back to the big question why is still here? If he's not going to kill them why stay in this town? He has no reason mikeal is dead, his hybrids turned on him (in which ended in him killing them), he's a full hybrid now and the doppelgänger is a vampire so shes no use to him. Is it because he wants Caroline? Maybe . Or maybe because the new threat (Silas) towards him? He doesn't know. The only thing Klaus does know is he not leaving anytime soon and that's only because he feels like he had unfinished business. What unfinished business he has no idea.

Hopping out of his thoughts Klaus reaches to get the bourbon to refill his empty glass, Klaus pours it in the cup only for nothing to come out. Taking note that the bottle was empty Klaus stands up from his chair to get another bottle while releasing a loud and unnecessary sigh. After pour about 2 cups and downing them in 2 gulps Klaus decides he wants to go hunt. Either to eat or to fuck he didn't know he just knew he could not stay here all night being miserable. Why would he?
