———————Manami knows trouble when she sees it. Ever since she was a little girl, all bashful and shy; tugging at her mother's skirt as she hid from behind, she understood what trouble looked like. It was like a spiralling nightmare from one of the horror films she sees on tv, and it came wallowing like a sad child latching onto their mother's warm hands.
She didn't like the look of it, and that said a lot. Manami had discovered her infatuation for all-things horror at a young age, so she was used to those kinds of topics. But troublesome people have always made her more uncomfortable than she should've been, especially since she had been exposed to mature content at a young age. She didn't understand the use of delaying the truth for a measly couple of minutes, what was the point in delaying the inevitable?
Troublesome people are the most unexplainably fascinating people. But she doesn't like the aspect of it, not one bit.
"You are such a nice guy. Hey..." The troublesome boy spits out, wiping his face with his sweaty forearms. He stood shaking as anger coloured him red, and he kept his eyes down, even as Aki Hayakawa bends down and groans in dismay.
Realistically, there isn't any satisfaction from kneeing Aki Hayakawa in the balls, so why did he look so self-satisfied? Denji was only adding fuel to the fire, he was practically digging a deeper hole only for him to be buried alive by the furious blackberry boy. Manami's mind was reeling with unanswered questions, she desperately wants to know the chainsaw boy's intentions. He didn't look pleased with himself, in fact, he looked desperate.
Manami pushed her body forwards, and as she was about to turn the corner, Shichiro grabbed her hands and tucked her gently beside him. She looked up at him, confusion glazing her eyes like her face was stuck in front of a glowing television. Manami opened her mouth to say something, but she was stopped halfway by Shichiro's palms covering her lips.
He frowned at her, "I'll go in first. Let me have my fun!"
She closed her eyes, and leaned her head agaisnt the brick wall behind them. Manami couldn't help but feel foolish, there are just somethings you can't change about a person until they want to change... Shichiro however, didn't give the idea of changing a second thought. He was content with how he is now, and Manami respects that, but she cannot help the irritation that came hand-in-hand with frustration, every time her brother does something spontaneous.
"Fine." She concedes, and even though her eyes are still closed, she can picture Shichiro's face smirking down at her, as if he was pleased with himself. "Don't get me involved, though. I don't want anything to do with this."
Manami could barely register the horrifying sight in front of her. Perhaps her view on the world was distorted, or maybe she was just looking at it from an odd angle sitting behind a coloured glass pane. Nonetheless, the loud shouts that thundered like earthquakes and rushed curses that came out spontaneously, hadn't really sunk into Manami's skin yet.
The whole situation was bonkers, she didn't understand it and neither did she want to, even to begin with. Surely the boys were ration-able enough to pick and choose their fights, carefully plucking their strategies to aim for victory. But that did not appear to be the case, especially when Aki Hayakawa fought back like an angry bull in a field of red roses.
