A New Beginning

"Promise to call as soon as you get to your apartment." Mother sobbed as she held my arms tightly.

"I know Mother, don't worry I'll be fine." I said with a smile.

"I'm here!" Madi said while she waved her arms manically.

"Hello Madison." Mother said as she eyed her outfit. "Goodbye Sweetheart." Mother said as she kissed my cheek.

"Bye Lollipop!" Father said as he hugged me. As he let go I saw Mother giving him a disapproving look. Mostly likely for calling me Lollipop. She never approved of nicknames. "Bye Madison!" Father called as were walked toward the terminal. As were sat down in our seats, I gave Madi a glare.

"What!?" She exclaimed.

"You know my Mother disapproves of girls in pants!" I said "A lady must wear skirts or dresses never sweat pants nor regular pants." I quoted Mother.

"Sorry, I was so excited that I forgot." Madi said with a frown.

"It's ok babe." I said as the plane took off.

"And last here is the break room. If you store food in the fridge, put your name on it." Emily smiled.

"Wow this place is huge!" I said happily.

"Yea. Oh, and your equipment is all at your desk." Emily said.

"Thank you." I smiled at her.

"I heard your friend, oh what was her name, ah Madison? (I nodded yes) I heard Madison got a job at Cosmo."

"Yea she's such a fashion snob. Everyone called her The Fashion Bitch, for some reason she loved it." I said and we laughed.

"Ha-ha. Boss wants you to get down to the Courthouse and get a statement from John Castalia about the bloody fights between his gang and the Naldo members. He should be leaving the Courthouse at four, so you have two hours."

"Well I'm gonna change into a cuter outfit then."

"Why, you're a newspaper reporter."

"Because I've done research on John Castalia, he's a total player. Now what's the easiest way to get a player's attention?"

"Ha-ha wow you're good."

"Thank you. I'll see you later, bye." I said and walked away.

"Mr. Castalia!! Is it true you orchestrated the fights??"

"Mr. Castalia!! Did you at all participate in any of the fights??"

"Mr. Castalia!!! Rumor has it you organized an attack on Eddie Naldo's house!"

"Get out of my way!!!" His loud, aggressive voice rang out over the crowd as I finally broke through to the middle.

"Surely you can answer a few questions for the newbie American girl?" I asked, glad that I changed into a cuter outfit. All the other reporters were older, and were dressed boring. As John looked at me, my heart stopped, and my breath got caught. He looked me up, and down then smirked.

"Sure Love (He reached into his pocket and got really close to me) Come to this place tonight and you'll get to ask me anything. Bring a friend if you want, and wear something sexy." He said with a wink, and handed me a card.

"Thanks." I smirked then walked away. I went home to find Madi there.

"Madi, wanna go to a club tonight?" I asked as I flopped onto her bed with her.
