chapter 16

"Hyung?" Taehyung gasped as he heard jungkook's voice and quickly hide the cigarette in his hand. But he couldn't escape from jungkook's eyes.

"I'm done with the wash. Are you?" Jungkook asked  as he picked up his bag from the locker. Taehyung nodded.

"Let's go then."

"You can go. I have other work to do. I'll be right back." Taehyung said that and left quickly before jungkook says anything.

Jungkook let out a deep breath as he looked at the distant taehyung.

"Is V hyung really addicted to cigarettes?" Jungkook remembered seeing taehyung smoking at their welcoming ceremony too.

He walked over to the dorm thinking he should talk to taehyung later about it. No matter how tired he was, the boy had to go to bed that night after completing all the assignments. He realized that his workload was increasing year by year.

"Dude, are you asleep?" Suddenly yugyeom asked, turning to jungkook bed.

"No, why?"

"We just noticed. Is there something between you and V hyung?" When yugyeom said that, jungkook's eyes widened but the light was off so no one saw it.

"There's nothing special." Jungkook lied because taehyung told him not to tell about their relationship to anyone right now.

"Are you sure there's no problem? Tell us if there's anything." It was bambam.

"There's nothing like that. Don't think too much. I'm sleepy. Let's go to sleep now." Jungkook ended the story by covering his head from the blanket.

"Where the hell is micky?" Bambam asked as he checked the time on the watch.

"Let's wait. It takes hours for girls to get ready." Eunho said. After few minutes, micky came. The boys stared at her for a while, wondering if that was their micky.

"Whyy?? Am I ugly?" Micky asked as she looked at her dress.

"WHAT?? NO, you are unbelievably beautiful." Others agreed with bambam. Micky, who doesn't like wearing makeup and doing fashion, was dressed nicely today to go to jungkook's brother's engagement. Jungkook went with his brother in the morning for some work. The engagement was at eonjin's house. But jungkook's friends still didn't know that jungkook's brother was engaged to taehyung's sister.

Junghyun put the ring on eonjin's finger and there were tears of joy in the girl's eyes. After Eonjin put the ring on junghyun, junghyun kissed eonjin on the cheek. Taehyung was on his way to take photos. Jungkook was with him. At that moment, when the eyes of the two met, taehyung quickly averted his eyes away because he couldn't look straightly at those innocent eyes.

A week after the engagement, junghyun and eonjin had to go to America again. Because their vacation is over.

Jungkook's parents went back to Busan after the engagement while junghyun was staying at kim's home. Jin, namjoon, yoongi, hoseok, jimin had all come to the engagement. They also went back to university in the evening. Jungkook also went to the campus with his friends. On the way, jungkook had to listen to his friends' complainings because he didn't tell them that his brother was engaged to taehyung's sister. Somehow after that the group thought that the reason jungkook was so close with taehyung was that new relationship. But jimin and micky doubted that.

The 1st semester of the 2nd year was spent while jungkook and his friends were busy with hazing gatherings. Meanwhile, jungkook went to cricket practice with taehyung from time to time to see him. But jungkook felt that the two of them were still just friends. Because jungkook often visited taehyung, but taehyung rarely came to see him. And taehyung never touched jungkook in an intimate way. Jungkook thought that taehyung was afraid of skinships because he had blackmailed jungkook in the first place. So jungkook waited patiently until taehyung himself approached him. But no matter how long he waited, jungkook realized that it was not going to happen. But taehyung never hurt jungkook physically or emotionally. No swearing or cursing. Every time jungkook came to see him, taehyung spoke very affectionately.
