Aspen took a shower before their phone buzzed against the counter, their music stopping temporarily. They answered the phone call, putting it on speaker as they wrapped a towel around their body.

"I came a bit early, i hope you don't mind." They heard the soft voice of their girlfriend through the phone. Aspen's smile grew as they looked at themself in the mirror.

"Of course my love. The door is unlocked, feel free to just walk in." They responded happily. Niki agreed whole heartedly before hanging up the call. Aspen walked to their room to change into decent clothes before greeting Niki in the living room.

They decided to wear leggings paired with a long sleeve shirt and a plaid hoodie. They braided their wet hair back before putting on a beanie to help keep their body heat contained.

Aspen walked into the living room and saw Niki in a rather nice outfit.

"Babe, you look stunning." Aspen spoke, a smile growing on their face upon seeing the girl.

"Thank you, so do you." Niki replied, a blush spreading across her features.

"Are you ready?" Aspen asked and Niki nodded in response. The both walked down to Niki's car and Niki just started driving. They drove for a good hour or so before they finally arrived. Aspen was rather surprised at what they saw.

"Niki..."

"You said you havent seen lights like this since you were a kid. I decided to take you myself." She stated proudly, driving slowly through the one way road thwy were meant to follow.

"Literally nobody has ever been this thoughtful before, what the hell." Aspen spoke in a soft voice.

"Hey, Aspen, can i tell you something?" Niki asked, looking over at her partner.

"Of course." Aspen said, not daring to take their eyes off of the pretty lights surrounding them.

"I love you."

That caught Aspen's full attention.

"I know its our first time ever saying it, and it might be early, but i do. I really, really love you. You don't have to say it back either, i know these things can be hard for you but-

Aspen cut Niki off of her rambling with a small, short lived but passionate kiss.

"Stop talking so i can tell you that i love you too."
