Dear Lily Evans

So I know that you don't like me and that is okay, I think? Maybe?

Sirius told me that it would be better to knock it off, so that is what I'm doing, letting you be this year...

So for the last 3 years of school, I shall no longer try to get you to say yes to go on a date with me...

I have given upon us, and the life we could have had together

James Potter

James sent the letter by the old family owl, hoping it wouldn't get lost again. The letter was, obviously, meant for Lily Evans, but the poor Potter owl lost it's way once again. He only remembered that the girl he had to deliver the letter to was a beautiful redhead with the last name of Evans, so when the owl saw and beautiful redhead through a window and heard the man with a beard call her Miss. Evans, the old owl was sure that was the girl it had to deliver the letter to, so it tapped the window with its beak.

The owl hap tapped a window on the 4th floor in the mental section of the St. Mungo's Hospital. The room did in fact belong to an Evans, but not the Lily Evans it was supposed to be delivered to. No, the room belonged to Rose Evans, the younger sister of Lily and Petunia Evans. Young Rose Evans had been at St. Mungo's Hospitals mental section since she was 8 years old. Now being 15 years old and having no friends the red-haired girl was surprised to see an owl that isn't Lily's. Opening the window slowly Rose let the old owl into the room, letting it sit on the bedpost. Walking towards the owl she let her hand run over the head before taking the rolled-up letter into her hand. Reading the letter the young girl let out a small giggle before giving the owl a treat. Sitting at her desk she pulls out a pen and piece of paper.

Dear James

I'm sorry to inform you, but you have the wrong Evans.

I think you were meant to write to my sister Lily?

Sorry to disappoint you, but may I ask why you are giving up on a relationship with Lily?

Many hugs Rose Evans

Rolling up the letter Rose walks back to her bed where the owl is still sitting, looking curiously at the 15-year-old. Tying the letter around the leg of the owl Rose kneels down so she's looking into its beautiful black eyes. "Can you take this back to James Potter?" She asks it, smiling lightly. The owl gives her a small hoot before jumping into the air, taking flight and make its way outside till Rose no longer can see it.

Looking out the window for a little longer Rose began to think about her sister who was at Hogwarts, getting her education as a witch. Rose hadn't seen either of her sisters since Christmas, none of them had visited her over the summer, even though Lily was home from Hogwarts and Petunia was on summer holiday from her muggle school as well. But neither had been here or wrote to her. Neither her parents had been to see her, the last time she saw them was 5-6 years ago, but her mother wrote her Happy Birthday on her birthday in January.

Hearing a slight creak from the door the red-haired girl turned around.

Her young face lit in a smile as Remus and his parents stood at the door. John and Hope had known Rose since she was a very small girl, Remus and she had been friends since they could be on their own in the small park that was between their houses.

"Hello dear," Hopes voice was smooth as she took a seat at one of the sofas in the room. "How have the last few days been?"

"Okay I guess..." Rose hesitated but one look at Hopes motherly smile she opened her mouth after making sure that Remus was looking at her drawing wall before whispering to Hope.

"I'm ish. But the full moon is having a greater impact than normal."

Hope took the 15-year old into her arms holding onto her for a solid 10 minutes before letting the young teenager go, to look into her golden amber eyes.

"Don't worry sweetheart, John is working on getting you out of here."
"But my parents?" Rose spoke in a soft voice, hoping Remus wouldn't hear as he was very angry about her parent's abandonment, but the werewolf had, of course, heard her and he was not happy. Letting out a low growl he made his way over to stand by the girl he saw as his sister, keeping a hand on her shoulder to make sure her personality didn't suddenly shifts, knowing that his mother would be very upset if a personality like Tara slipped through.

"Don't worry about them, dear," John spoke up, giving the young girl a soft fatherly smile as he and Hope explained that they had been working on adopting her.

After spending the day with the Lupin family in her room, Rose's mind began to run off. All the time Hope and John had been here she had fought her mind for control, but now she had no strength left to fight and she felt like she was being pushed back into her mind. Only being able to see and hear but having no control of her movements.

She felt her mouth giggle and she felt herself skip around her room till her eyes saw her paint and brushes. This side of her gave another giggle before dipping her fingers in the pink paint and beginning to paint with her fingers. This side of Rose was the personality that Remus had named Daisy because of her carefree nature and positive outlook on life.
All in all had Remus and Rose met 3 different sides of Rose.

The first one they met was Tara. Tara is a dark side of Rose who pushes through when Rose is hurt either emotionally or physically. Tara's personality is very reserved, quiet, having a high vocabulary with a rude edge to it. Tara rarely let people in and her attitude is quite uptight. She is big on discipline and rarely smiles, who will kill if provoked.

Second, they met Daisy. Daisy is the carefree side of Rose, her childlike self who sips through when Rose is mentally exhausted and can't handle being in control. Daisy was named by Remus for her carefree nature, her positive outlook on life, her love for meeting new people, her love to chatter and how easy she found it to laugh and giggle.

The latest personality to manifest was Solis, having only found her way to the top a few months ago when the nurses considered putting Rose in isolation. Being 'brought up' by isolation Solis was the silent side of Rose. Solis doesn't talk and is always silent even when the head nurse screams at her. But out of all Rose's split personalities, Solis was the most artistic one always expressing her emotions in her drawing and paintings.

Hearing two taps on the window Daisy turns around giggling as she sees the owl outside. Skipping to the window she let out a hum as let the owl drop a letter after settling on the bedpost.

Dear Rose Evans

Sorry for that. I was trying to reach a Lily Evans, but it seems like Harold got lost again. Lily and I will never happen as she doesn't approve of my pranks. Sadly. She has never mentioned a sister other than Petunia?

Love James

Wearing a girly smile on her face Daisy was quick to write back a letter but signing it in Rose's not to confuse this James boy.

These letters became a safe heaven for Rose and her other sides. After explaining to James why she wasn't at Hogwarts, leaving Remus out of it, he became very understanding of her situation, never leaving her, even sending a picture of him with her Christmas present, making her do the same. The two became fast friends and when The Lupins had succeeded in getting her out of St. Mungo's Hospital at the beginning of November 1976 he was the first she told, even before Remus.
