I felt the cold air rushing down my spine the moment I stepped my feet to Diagon Alley. All the memories passing right before my eyes like a movie. The jokes that I heard, the dates that I went, the people that helped me through the stores, my first arrival. Everything that I missed, well, almost.

I made my way down to the full of people stoned path, watching the excitement on everyone's eyes as they were shopping, probably for a decent year at Hogwarts.

Young kids running up and down to the shops, stressed parents, uncles and gradmas running along with them yelling them to be careful. The new quidditch supplies at the shop front making you crave them.

I made my way down to my oh so favorite shop, hoping I could see my long missed best friend George, not so fond of meeting Fred but oh well what can you do.

Me and George had been owling back and forth while I was travelling. We tried to keep in touch as much as we could with me changing my address every so often and him being now a successful business man.

I entered the shop, the bell above the door I pushed making a ringing noise. The shop being full of people, George and Friend at the top of a staircase gesturing over at some new products. Fred meeting my eyes nudging George slightly giving him a nod towards me while his eyes rolled at the back of his head.

"Penny!" He shouted now making his way through the crowd.

"Georgie! I missed you so much!"

"Oh you can't  imagine, ugly goose!"

"Hey hey hey watch out your mouth mister perfect"

"Oh come on, you know I'm kidding"

"Right back at ya!" I said with a wink, George giving me a death glare before ruffling my hair , now embracing me once more to another tight hug.

"I hate you" He mumbled as he rested his head on mine for some seconds

"And I love you" I said giving him a quick kiss on the cheek while brushing through my hair with my fingers "How's everyone?" I continued my glance catching Fred's figure as he put a box on the front counter. The fabric of his shirt tightening around his bicup. The veins in his arms flexing. His hair slightly ruffled while seat started shimmering on his forhead. Although I didn't want to admit Fred was always quit good looking. Never too hard in the eyes.

I quickly became aware of my staring and I tried camouflage it pretending I was looking around the shop. Although George could tell what I was looking at. He could read me like an open book being best friends with him and Fred since our first year at Hogwarts.

Me and Fred never had a problem with eachother. We were always having fun along with George. Everything was perfect, until that night in our seventh year. We slept together.

I knew it was just a fling so I shrugged it up continuing with my life as normal. But from that night our friendgroup took the wong road. I could feel he was tensed around me and not in a good way, so I distanced myself. Although it pained me I had to be strong. If he didn't like me I would be the one to act quickly so I don't get hurt. I didn't want to get attached to someone who I didn't have a chance with.

"Don't stare like that you git" George said giving me a light push

"I am not staring you weasel!" I whisper shouted

"I am not staring you weasel" He repeated on a mocking tone

"Shove off"

George turned around to face Fred. I couldn't tell what he was doing with his back turned up to me. Fred made his way over to us, now standing tall in front of me.

"Frederick"

"Penelope" He replied with a nod

When George was around we always tried to be decent to each other but you didn't have to be a genius to sense the bicker in our voices.

-Time skip-

The sky now painted with orange and pink colors as the sun had almost setted. The last costumer paid for his things and left the shop along with Verity, leaving us three alone. We made our way to the flat, sitting in the living room.George and Fred on the couch as I sat at the armchair.

"Congratulations you guys, the shop is amazing!"

"Why thank you" George replied as Fred sat straight up looking towards me expressionless.

" So Penny" George continued "How was Greece?"

"Ohhh it was amazing!  You should have seen the beaches and the sights. And people there are so nice! They also have all those kinds of foods, I actually learned some of their recipes, they are delicious. I bet your mum would love them. Also their quidditch team is so good, quite unpopular though."

"So where are you planning on going now?" Fred said giving me a hard look

"Well I was actually planning on staying in England for now, I am also looking for an affordable place to stay and for a job" I replied with a smile

"Oh come on you can definitely work at the shop for now and ifyou want you can stay with us for a while. We do have a spare room after all" George told me "Actually not if you want, I am not giving you an option, you are definitely staying" He said grabbing my small luggage of the floor.

Fred scoffed and George gave him a look that could definitely kill. I kind of like how protective George was over me.

"No Georgie is fine, I don't want to intrude" I replied

"See?! She doesn't want to intrude" Fred said now standing up, his right hand pointing at me and his front facing George.

"You are staying end of discussion!" he said now pushing past Fred.

The ginger boy following his brother at the guest room shutting the door harshly.

Fred's POV

"What the fuck George?!" I said angrily to my twin brother

"Fred she is my bloody friend! You don't expect me to leave her in the streets wandering unemployed?!"

"And I am your brother and you know that I fucking can't stand her?!"

"I don't bloody care Fred, you two were those  who ruined the whole thing but at least she is making an effort and she is actually  being nice to you while you are acting like a five year old spoiled brat. She is staying with us and while she is our roommate maybe you could put your thick scull down and think where you are wrong" He said and with a flick of his wand the empty room was now cleaned up, and the bed was decorated with silk red sheets and large soft pillows.

I closed my eyes and counted slowly till ten as I heard the door open and close. Now being alone in the room, her room. When I was calm enough I made my way to the kitchen watching her from the counter talking with George.

Her eyebrows knitted together as she spoke. Shaking her head slightly. She stood up and came in the kitchen now leaning against the counter, standing in front of me,

"Hey" She spoke softly. I turned my back at her and got my cold cup of water bringing it on my lips as I sipped some of the fresh liquid. I heard her sigh and I could almost feel her tense up.

"Look, I am sorry, I know that you don't want me here. I promise I'll try to find a new place as soon as I can. I really don't want to intrude."

"You are though, aren't you?" I replied harshly, setting the glass on the counter, now looking her I the eyes. She really was trying but I am not letting her in again. Not this time.

"Fred, I am really sorry"

Fred, her lips spoke my name as they did years ago. She hadn't called me Fred in a while.

"Ok" I replied dryly still not letting my guard down. She sighed and made her way out of the kitchen. I saw her as she disappeared  in her room muttering George goodnight when she walked past the living room. I cussed under my breath and  grabbed a quill and a perchament writing and sending the letter of with our new owl.
