While cleaning a table once again at The Claw the next day, Lexi was going back and forth in her head on what she should do. Yes, she did go home last night and researched Ryan and Tiffany Hudson, which only made her want to look into her death more, but was really hesitant about doing so, especially since she wasn't planning on staying here long. Lexi was still lost in her thoughts until she heard George yell,
"You broke into Ryan's house?!"
Turning around Lexi saw Nancy and George at the bar, where they were, apparently, discussing Nancy breaking into Ryan Hudson's house? Lexi had to give it to Nancy, the girl was kind of a badass, but for someone who said just yesterday that she wasn't going to look into it, it seemed like she was.
Bess, having heard George, walked over, "You stole Tiffany's jewelry?"
"Coming from the known ex-felon." argued Nancy.
"It was a misdemeanor." Bess replied.
"Well, Nancy, I got to say I am impressed." Lexi said, walking up to join the group.
And they all agree, including Ace who was in the kitchen and apparently heard the whole thing?
"It was in a hidden compartment in Tiffany's nightstand" Nancy continued, ignoring the praise. "With a note", Nancy then pulls out said note. Bess takes it, "'For your protection'? From what" she reads off, Lexi reading it from next to her. "And who's H.G.?"
"We got to crack this thing open, I bet there's a clue inside" George says, talking about the necklace that Nancy took, walking away.
"Where are you going? That's mine." Nancy says.
"Well, technically it's stolen property." Bess argues.Lexi and the others are now down at the water, trying to figure out what is in that necklace that Nancy took. After George finds an address, which belongs to a medium, and decides to follow the lead. As Nancy argues with Bess and George about investigating this by herself, Lexi argues with herself about investigating it with them. Although it sounds very intriguing, and if anything interesting happens she knows she can count on Bess to tell her every detail, even though she will most likely add extra flair. And along with the fact that the medium will creep her out, and she still doesn't believe in ghosts, she decides to stay behind at The Claw.
Lexi interrupts their argument, "Hey guys, I think I'm just gonna stay, help Ace out at The Claw. Good luck." She smiles at the three, then walks away, leaving the three to look after, with the thought that Lexi is another mystery in itself.Later that night Lexi is back in her little apartment she's renting while in Horseshoe Bay, a nice little place perfect for her, and since she wasn't planning on staying long, a nice agreement with her landlord that she can leave whenever, not being under a long lease. She sits in her room contemplating over what Bess told her earlier while they were visiting the medium, how they had a seance and how the medium got possessed or something and kept repeating find the dress, and then proceeded to kick them out. Lexi never believed that ghosts are real, she was always about the facts and evidence, but this place, this town, had many mysteries surrounding it, and it seems it all leads back to dead Lucy.
