Kellin's POV
The bar's aroma was thick with cheap beer and cigarettes. It was so strong that it was hard for me to breathe in this god forsaken place. I took a seat on an unsturdy stool by the bar area where a waitress wearing cheap lipstick came.
"Hey hot stuff, what can I getcha?" she said.
"Get me a bottle of whisky," I state bluntly.
She looks around hesitantly before nodding her head.
"You got friends coming or somethin'?" she asks reassuringly.
"No just me."
"Uhh you sure you need a whole bottle? That stuff is pretty str-"
"Look i didn't come here to be judged. Can you just bring me the bottle?" I snap.
She huffs and stalks off to the bar. That was a dick move. I run a hand through my hair in frustration. Today honestly is not my day. My head is pounding, my patience level is at zero, my lips are burning with desire, and I'm yelling at random people. Way to go, Kellin.
My phone vibrates in my pocket and pull it out to see I have two new messages.
Unknown Number: hey it's jasmine, come back. i'm sorry..
Unknown Number: the boys are really worried.
So she's not worried then? Whatever..
The blonde came back with the bottle of whisky and slouch in relief.
"Thank you so much. I'm really sorry about snapping at you before.. I'm just having a really rough night," I sigh.
"I know sugar, we all have our bad days. I'm Mary Lou," she smiles with her hand out.
"I'm Kellin. I have a question for you actually.."
"Hmm depends on what you're asking," she laughs.
"You're accent is southern correct?" I ask with a smile.
She nods and smiles probably knowing where I was going with this.
"Then how come you're all the way over here in Washington?"
She takes a seat at on the stool next to me and dives into her story of how she came from Texas. This was an interesting distraction.
Jasmine's POV
My head is spinning as I struggle to get Justin to relax and get some sleep. He's mumbling on about God knows what in his ridiculously drunken state. I was starting to worry because I texted Kellin over an hour ago. Was he really that mad? Did he hate me that much? The middle of my palms started to tingle as I watched the door of the tour bus.
"Jazzy boooo, I love youuuu," Justin sang.
I stifle a laugh as Justin laid there with his eyes closed. I took this opportunity to record him. I pulled out my phone and pressed record.
"Justin what's wrong?" I say holding back a laugh.
"I miss mommy Jasmine, it's hard right now," he slurs.
I hold my hand over my mouth. Did he really just say mommy...
"Why is it hard?"
"Because Jesse told me he's planning to leave the band."
My smiled fades and I stop recording. What?
As if on cue, Jack, Jesse, and Gabe enter the room.
"What's going on here you look like you've seen a ghost?" Jesse asked.
I stand up awkwardly and run a hand through my hair.
"Nothing I'm just tired."
I need to find Kellin.
"I'm gonna go look for Kellin, I'll be back."
I grab my sweater and slide my phone in my back pocket to start my journey. As I step outside the tour bus, the cold air hits me and covers me like a blanket. The slight breeze causes loose strands of hair to whip around my face. I decide to enjoy this small amount of time to my self. The scenery is beautiful. There are small bushes with flowers along the sidewalk and the sky is completely clear. A few stars twinkle and not a cloud is in sight. The moon is the perfect size. It's so bright and it lights up the entire area that I'm walking in. Such a beauty view and an ugly situation. Quite the metaphor if you ask me.
A few lights shine ahead and I know that's the bar. A few hookers stand out in the front with lit cigarettes in between their bony fingers. One is passed out on the sidewalk. I mentally decide if I should help her up or keep walking. I decide against due to the fact that she's not passed out. She's strung out.
I walk through the group of hookers and ignore their snooty comments. I don't want this night to get any worse. If Kellin isn't in here I'm going to be screwed because I refuse to walk any further than I already have. I open the door and I almost choke. The air was heavy of cigarette smoke and it smelled like cheap liquor all around.
I scan over the room of people and my eyes lock with Kellin's. Not only is he surprised to see me, but his tongue is down some other girl's throat.
