Prologue

Anastasia Forbes was seventeen years old when she met Niklaus Mikaelson. She hated him, he was planning to use one of her friends as a sacrifice. She let her guard down and started to have feelings for him even through all the bad stuff he had done.

He asked her on a date and after multiple times her declining, she gave in and they started dating. They were perfect for each other, they completed each other. After a while, they couldn't imagine what life would be like without each other. Some of her friends told her dating Klaus was a terrible idea and that it would make her a traitor. Anastasia started to drift away from her friends that shamed her. Having more time made it possible for her to strengthen her friendships with Bonnie and Stefan, who didn't judge her for her relationship. Although Klaus was thought to be a monster. He turned out to be a big lovey teddy bear, him having a soft spot for Anastasia made her love him even more. Anastasia was a perfect fit with Niklaus's family. She was the sister Rebekah always wanted. A great friend to Elijah, and Kol's partner-in-crime.

Her sister Caroline always supported her and the rest of her family grew to like him too. Around two years after they had met Klaus decided to propose. Anastasia and Caroline were ecstatic, they could not wait to plan a wedding. Caroline insisted that it was a spring wedding.

One day when she was at Caroline's house they figured out that she was pregnant, with Klaus's child. Anastasia was so excited and could not wait to tell her fiance. She had always wanted children but did not know how it was possible since Nik was a vampire. Anastasia was so happy to be having a baby with the man she loved.

She got back home to find her fiance in bed with one of her best friends Haley. He was not remorseful. I didn't even seem to care that he had cheated. Anastasia asked why he did it, but he did not respond. Then she told him she was pregnant. He said he didn't believe her and he didn't care. She threw her engagement ring at him and ran out the door, never seeing him again. He left the next day, without saying goodbye or even trying to explain himself. one person did stick around for her though, Elijah. Niklaus's older brother with whom she had become very close. He said he would stay with her and they could raise the baby together. It lasted about two years before he left to help Niklaus in New Orleans.

During the two-year period when Anastasia and Elijah were living together, they found an abandoned baby in an alley. They named him Alec and he became their son. When Alaric's wife Jo died witches impregnated Anastasia with Josie and Lizzie. 

Anastasia and Stefan Salvatore fall in love. He helped her raise her kids and cared her them as a father would. He proposed and they were scheduled to get married. Sadly, Stefan died on their wedding day.

Her life became more routine though she's now the Head Mistress of the Salvatore School along with Alaric. She has five beautiful children and is happy. Aside from the fact she misses her husband.

Everything is finally working out in her favor, for now...
