(Lights p.o.v)
"Father do i have to go to school?" I asked.
"If you don't you won't give the teachers a good impression. So the answer to that is a yes Light" His father answered. Why does my father do this to me? I have been feeling sick. I don't understand anymore.
"Fine ,give me a few minutes OK." I said hastily.
I know that its the first day of school ,but that shouldn't change anything. I was up all night thinking what the teachers are going to say. My mother had died in a car accident recently and since my father is a detective EVERYONE knew. My younger sister was injured ,but not to badly.
(L's p.o.v)
Dingding ding. "My head hurts" I mumbled. What am i going to do with everything going. My mother is in the hospital. My father is long gone no idea where. 'So this is my life' I thought to myself.
I got up and got dressed. In his lunch he was putting some strawberry cheesecake ,lollipops ,and a chocolate milk. Some people say this is bad for you but i do not think this is so unhealthy. It is my regular every day food though. I am still muscular ,but i am skinny I thought.
"Well i'd better go wake up Near." I said. But it looks like Watari has beat him to it because he turn around and he was standing right there.
"L ,how come Watari woke me up? Did you forget about me again?" Near says.
"I would never forget about you Near. Anyways are you ready to go to school?" I say.
AS NEAR AND L GO INTO SCHOOL THERE ARE PEOPLE CROWDING AROUND A BRUNETTE .
"Whats going on L?" Near whispered to his older brother.
"This time i don't even know Near." I stated.
As we walked past the crowd we heard sinkers and a couple "oh look emo fags!" Or " OMG it an emo what the hell are they doing here?" 'People must not know manners anymore because that was mighty rude i hope Near didn't hear them' I thought. Luckily Near was to busy thinking to hear them.
" Hi I'm L and this is Near" I said to the person behind the front desk. We got handed our schedules. mine was

"Misa let go of my arm youre my sister not my girlfriend." Light yelled at his bother-some sister.
"But Light!! Dad told you ,you had to help me because of my broken leg!!" Misa sniffed.
"He did but that was when it was actually in the cast still. We didn't know you would get it off early so i don't have to." Light said pointing to his sisters cast free leg. "Let me go get my schedule ,Misa get off of me!" He yelled.
As Light got his schedule he noticed a guy he saw at the hospital last week when they had to get Misas cast off. He looked down at his schedule:

Near and Misa were a year younger that L and Light. The teachers noticed that L and Light had the best grades out of the whole school last year. So they decided they should be in most of the same classes.
(L's p.o.v)
Bring bring bring. Oh great off to math I guess I'll have to just carry all of my stuff with me. I thought.
" By L " Near said.
"Bye Near. Remember that we are going to the park after school so wait for me at the front gate OK." I said.
"Got it" Near said as he rushed off to class.
I rushed off to class so that i wouldn't be late. 'Its room 204' I Thought. 200, 201, 203,204, 205... wait I passed it. God dammit I'm going to be late for sure this time. I mentally slapped myself. I walked into the classroom and everyone was staring at me. The whispers started immediately. " Oh God its the emo fag from earlier." Another one like " How the hell did he get into this class i bet he's not even smart".
" OK everyone I'm going to assign seats so stand up" The teacher said. I wasn't listening until i heard
"Light and L row 4 seats 1 and 2" He said.
I saw him sit down and walked over and sat down right next to him. I was expecting a look of disgust as i sat down in the seat next to the window. Instead i got " Hello ,L is it? I'm Light and I will be siting next to you this year." He said.
I looked at him and said " Hello Light. Yes I am L. I-I guess Will be siting next to you for the year." I said. I must have given him a confused look after words because he said " I'm not judging you L. I remember you from last year. 4th period math. I transferred here late last year,"
" Oh your the one who was popular as soon as he stepped into the school." I said.
"Oh I'm sorry." He said and a blush washed over his cheeks.
"Im just kidding" I said giving him a small smile.

"I'm just kidding" He said giving me a small smile that made me blush even more.
'WHAT THE FUCK LIGHT! YOU AREN'T GAY DAMMIT!' I thought to myself.
