I wake up on the floor of Kandy's room. "Morning Sleeping Beauty. Want some scrapple? Got it from the butcher Monday." she said before I even sat up.
"You know it. What time did you wake up?" I say.
"'Bout nine thirty. Milk?"
"Sure. I can't thank you enough for this. I still can't believe my family didn't noticed I was gone."
She went silent after that. I knew she was hiding something, but I didn't want to say anything. If it was a secret I didn't want to know.
I started to get ready to go to the mall when I heard a knock on the door.
"Sky there is a pool party at Jason's house. Wanna go?"
I've been trying to go to my boyfriend's house since I moved, and He lives 2 blocks away from Kandy.
"Would you mind?"
"No. I understand that you want to see him. Besides, I wouldn't mind seeing his brother."
I change into my bathing suit and put my hair up in a slip-out hairdo, so I can take I out quick if I go into the water. I probably will be picked up in and thrown into the pool anyways.
We walk to Jason's house wearing nothing but our bikinis and shorts covering our suit's bottom. A harsh wind sliced past us, nearly knocking me over onto the pavement. When we got to his house I knocked on the door praying that it wasn't Jason so I could surprise him.
The only person who was at the door was his cousin, Jansen.
"Hey! Good to see you. I'll tell J. you're here." he said.
"Um.... Can I suprise him instead?" I say quickly before he could even turn around to let us in. He nods his hand and then winks at me. Winks. Why would he do that? It's not that I don't know why, it's that he just looks so akward when he does.
