I'm in a really bad mood so I decided to write .-. ((btww idk their managers name so imma name him Philaceo))
Chapter 6
Luke's POV
After we finished screaming our heads off about our song, I got a phone call from our manager, Philaceo.
I pressed the green answer button and brought the phone to my ear.
The guys started to sing along so hushed them so I could hear what he had to tell me.
Andy's POV
So, I know I had told Maddie that I liked Ashton and that wasn't exactly true but I just saw how close they were getting, and I got jealous. Maddie is so beautiful and her confidence was glowing. She could get any guy, any day. And all the guys are naturally drawn to her. I wish I could be like her. She's always so happy. And she's confident. And she's sassy and sarcastic in a good way. I'm the opposite. I'm shy, I have very little confidence, and I don't think I'm very pretty. This happens a lot when I'm left alone and all I do I think and I over think everything.
I have brown eyes and I hate it. People say that me and Maddie are alike but she is a lot prettier than me.
I have wavy black hair that ends at the bottom of my back, I'm a little bit taller than Maddie, which means I'm about 5'8.
I was brought out of my thoughts as Maddie tapped my shoulder.
"Hey, you alright, kid?" She asked smiling.
"Yeah, but when we get to your house, I think we need to talk." Oh no, it came out like word vomit.
I didn't want to talk to her about my jealousy, but I think she needs to know.
"Okay. And I'm sorry about Ashton. But we are just friends. I'm not looking for anything else right now, you know that, right?" She sounded so sincere.
Maddie and I have been friends since year seven.
*Flashback*
I was sitting alone at lunch. Since my friends had stopped talking to me, I'd been alone. No one to walk to class with, no one stop by my locker and ask how I was, no one to text, no one to have sleepovers with, no one to eat lunch, no one to be partners with in class, no one.
Maddie, a girl who was in some of my classes and who I had only spoken to once to borrow a pencil, had sat down in front of me. She placed her brown paper bag on the table and looked up at me. I looked back.
Her eyes flickered to the bracelets I was wearing. She flashed a toothy grin.
"You like blink 182?" She asked excitedly.
"And Nirvana." I giggled. To this day, I hadn't found anyone with the same music interests as me.
We bonded and chatted about bands and stuff like that. We instantly clicked and became friends.
We were talking about Kurt Kobain's sudden suicide when two boys and a girl walked over to our table. Three plastics. Great, I rolled my eyes.
"Suicide? What a great idea, don't ya think, Emily?" Jason laughed.
"Yeah." She chuckled. "Why don't you just end it already, freak." Her words hurt but I tried to not let her get to me.
"Yeah, you wouldn't be missed. I'm sure your parents would be relieved. They could stop spending so much money on your pathetic needs." The other boy laughed. I tried to not make it evident that it hurt me.
I'm was used to this. The taunting on a daily basis. My 'friends' never stood up for me and I didn't expect them to. I never had a friend that would stand up for me.
Therefore, it caught me off guard when Maddie got angry and stood up, her hands balled into a fist.
"Don't talk to her like that, you have no clue how great she is. You guys are pathetic and you should be embarrassed." She was boiling. I blushed when I realized she was sticking up for me, like no one had before.
"Now, we didn't invite you to our barbecue, so get up outta my grill." She stated proudly.
"We are pathetic? You are the pathetic ones. You depressed freaks." Jason scoffed.
With that, she got madder.
"Maddie, it's fine." I said, motioning for her to sit back down.
"No it isn't, they can't talk to you like that. None of that is true. Now, I'm sorry for what I'm about to do." She smiled sympathetically. I was confused as to what she meant until I saw her punch Jason in the nose. She got the other guy wit an uppercut to the jaw.
I didn't know how to react.
So, long story short, she got in a lot of trouble but they haven't spoken to either of us since.
And we've been best friends since.
*Flashback ended*
My mind diverted to the question she had asked me.
"Yeah, I know. And thank you for being such a great friend. You've always been there for me." I smiled.
"It's been my pleasure, Andy Wolfe." She returned the smile.
Maddie's POV
I looked out the window after Andy and I's conversation.
I saw a cute little cd store and I made a mental note to revisit it, being that I need a job. There was a couple in there and they were just the cutest.
I loved seeing couples but sometimes it made me a bit jealous. I know I say I'm not interested in the dating scene but I do like a little romance. I especially liked talking to Luke earlier. Talking to him made me feel comfortable and special. He was so easy to talk to.
I really hope we can hang out like this again.
I think I'm catching feelings.
