Unexpected Love [Black Veil Brides story]

Chapter 1

Lyla's POV
Hi, my name is Lyla Purdy I'm 15 years old and I'm Ashley purdy's little sister. I know what your thinking but I actual just found this out about 5 minutes ago so yeah here's my story. When I was born my parents didn't want me so I was put in a foster home until I was five and was able to go to school at that point my two aunt took me in (yes there homosexual). I was not to call them mom or anything like that I called them by there names Lily and Mia it's not that they didn't love me but that they didn't want to lie to me. Your probely thinking if you were adopted by family how did you not know Ashley was your brother, well that's easy I didn't go to family gathering because my parent couldn't stand to look at me so we stayed home. I had a great life good grades lots of friends ect. They my aunt lily died of breast cancer and my aunt Mia couldn't take it so she killed herself. The first time I saw Ashley was at my aunts funeral (he was already in black veil brides by then). My first thought was how much we look alike but then I realized most my family looks the same. Then I saw his star necklace (the one that is filled in completely with diamonds) I got my star necklace the first day I moved in with my aunts I loved the necklace it was on me at all times. I was so lost in thought I didn't hear the revrend call my name until about the third time since I was legally lily and Mia's daughter I had to stand by the coffin and accept people's condolences my mom was up there to which was really weird because she was right beside me but I got through it. My aunts didn't want speechs at there funeral they wanted me to sing a song and play gutiar. By the end of the song everyone but Ashley was crying Ashley was just staring at me with this intense aww like I was so kind of new life form it was a little weird. After the barriul we went to the luncheon a little kid came up and asked me why I was wearing a jacket (take note it was the middle of the summer in Texas so it was hot). I simply looked at the kid and said "because I'm scared to show the real me" and I walked away. I didn't realize one of Ashley's band mates over heard me say that and followed me outside. By the time I stopped my eyeliner was everywhere but all of a sudden I felt a light tap on my shoulder I turned around to see Jake Pitts staring at me with such concern it made my heart swell. " Show my your wrist" was all he said. For a minute I thought not to but then all of a sudden I was pulling up my selve showing my scars (you have to keep in mind I never show my scars to anyone ever but this was different). He grabbed my wrist and looked me in the eyes and said "you are to beautiful to be cutting yourself promise me you'll stop" I don't know what it was but looking into those grey-blue eyes made me say "I promise you Jake I will never cut aging ".
