Chapter 4

Lyla's POV
We were back on the road and about 15 miles from New York I was kinda excited I was in the back of the bus writing music when CC came in he looked kind of off I could barely see him (I had the sheet closed so I wouldn't be bothered) he climbed on to his bed and layed down then I stared to hear him cry I got up and moved the sheet and walked over to his bed and sat with him. I put my arms around him and hugged him I think I scared him because he tensed then he turned around and said "oh hi Lyla I-I d didn't know you were in here I should just leave I didn't mean to bother you" "what's wrong CC why were you crying I promise if you tell me I won't tell anyone unless you ask me to." He froze then spoke slowly "umm ok well I um was in a relationship for about 3 months and um he just broke up with me" I was kinda surprised I didn't know CC was gay it was a big surprise "in case your thinking I'm gay think angin I'm not gay I'm bisexual there is a difference so, are you going to tell anyone?" The look in his eyes was so sad it was hard to explane "CC I promised I wouldn't tell anyone and I'm going to keep that promise and by the way I know the difference I'm bisexual asshole. Come here and give me a hug" CC sat up and wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me a little to tight but I didn't say anything but I could tell he needed it. A few minutes later I heard Jinxx call out "hey Lyla and CC come here you guys are going to want to see this" me and CC walked into the living area of the bus everyone's eyes were glued to the tv screen the news was on "a report has just come in that the tour bus of Falling In Reverse has just crashed on the side of the road everyone but the manger and driver survived the crash but are in very bad to critical shape and are being rushed to the hospital in New York for treatment more on this story as it develops now back to the weather" I was standing there in pure shock then everything went black and I was falling I heard the voices of the guys but couldn't understand what they were saying then I was swimming in darkness unable to find the light or moved I was freaking out having a panic attack then I was swolled by darkness angin but not before I heard an voice I could not place say "I need a crash kit were losing her wait this is Ashley Purdy's sister shit crash kit now" then more blackness. I woke up to a bright white light and the sound of monitors beeping I automatically knew where I was I was in a hospital the next thing I hear is the news angin but this time it's different ther talking about me "Lyla Purdy younger sister of rock star Ashley Purdy bassist of Black Veil Brides is in the hospital after passing out and almost dying in the ambulance they say she's stable but has not woken up and they have know idea why she passed out but they did find evidence of self harm on the childes wrists and that may be the cause more on this story as it develops" I was freaking out now everyone know I self harm I'm going to kill the reporter all of a sudden I hear Andy "hey guys I think she's waking up" all of a sudden I become aware of my surroundings I feel Andys hand in mine and slowly I open my eyes and I see the guys surrounding me and I smile "hey everyone how's it going" then Ashley wraps his arms around me I feel a jolt of pain in the back of my head "ow that hurt what the hell" I reach up to feel my head and find it warped in bandages I start fearing out why the hell is my head wrapped up and what the hell happened. I hear Jinxx say "hey Lyla calm down you fell on the bus and hit your head your in the hospital because you busted your head open after you heard what happened to Ronnie and the band but your ok I promise" I was slowly calming down. By the time the doctor came in my face was drying and I had a massive headache I asked for some pain meds the doctor had a very sour face then spoke "miss Purdy I have some very hard news I have to break to you" he was quite for a minute and then continued "it seems you have a bleed into your brain that has to be operated on soon or you will go brain dead and possibly die" I start to have a panic attack angin but the guys calm me down then I ask the question that I know has been on everyone's mind "when can I have the surgery?" "As soon as the O.R is ready" the doctor gets a page then and says "that was the O.R there ready are you?" I think for a minute then say "let's go have brain surgery how well is your success rate doc?" "My success rate is a about 95% and I've done the surgery about 15 times I only failed those other times because I was trying to teach an intern and they messed up but there will be no hands on for your surgery. Ok?" I was so scared I had no idea what to do but there was one thing I wanted to change rooms what am I five (you guys know the hospital yeah that's the room I was put in) "hey doctor can I switch rooms after the surgery this room is for five year olds an its kind of creepy" the doctor smiled at me "of course you can Miss Purdy we need to get to the O.R now ok?" The doctor and some nurse's walked over to my bed and started to push it to the elevator the doctor pushed a button and the elevator started going up when the doors opened there were more doctors waiting at the doors I heard my doctor say "this surgery will not be for internees you will all be observing this is a very important patients so please go to with the family in the observation booth thank you. Okay Miss.Purdy are you ready?" There was a camera flash just out of my vision the doctor said "somebody call security to get that reporter and his camera this dose not need to be on the news" two guards walked past us and grabbed the cameraman and his camera I saw him. "You can't keep this from the world forever we will find out we have people on the inside. Tell us how it happened. Hey Lyla is it why are you going to the O.R why'd you pass out did you try to kill yourself?" The question hit me hard is that what everyone thinks I truer to kill myself oh hell. "Hey asshole. Doc stop. Let him over here you want yo know something." "Yes please anything your willing to share about what happened my names Eli by the way" Eli started to pull out his record but before he could I reached up and punched him right in the eye "what the hell was that for you little bitch" "that was because your a dick. Oh hey Ash when did you get there?" Ashley and the guys we're starting behind Eli and they looked pissed "hey lil sis how it going is this asshole bothering you." "Ohh Ashley Purdy when did you get there I have a few questions for you." Eli was about to turn on his recorder when Ashley grabbed it and snapped it in half "the next time your near Lila it won't be the recorded that's snaps it your neck stay away from my sister and she's not the bitch you are." Eli turned to the hospital staff and said "did you hear that he just threatened me right in front of all of you" there were nods and a few I heard nothing throughout the O.R the doctor spoke up next "ok get the reporter out take his recorders and cameras we need to go now! Then we were off angin Ash and the guys said good luck and they would see me when I got out we went down a long hallway then stopped at a set of doors the nurse went over and swiped her staff card and punched in a few numbers and the door opened the nurses and doctors went to scrub in leaving me with the anesthesia he explained to me how the Anesthesiologist explained how Anastasia worked and blah blah blah. The doctors came in and asked if I was ready I said yes they said the surgery would take about 3hours. The anesthesiologist put a mask over my face and told me to count backwards for 10 at about 7 everything went black. I saw a light and heard laughter then my name from a voice I knew but couldn't quite place "Lyla come on it will be fun" the memory came into focus and I saw a very well know face my best friend Cat who I hadn't see for three years after she moved to New York we kinda stopped talking. "Fine I'll do it but only because it your last day and because I love you" we were in the middle of 3 period lunch and Cat wanted to have a food fight before she left for New York. At once we slung are food across the cafeteria it hit a bunch of cheerleaders they started crying and screaming Cat and I couldn't help but laugh once everyone noticed what happened all hell broke lose food was going everywhere we were all having fun and laughing until the principle walked in and yelled over everyone "who started this mess" all the students pointed at us as we raised are hands with pride "Cat Likin and Lyla Long I should have known it was you come with me now" as we stood and walked out of the cafeteria everyone started clapping and cheering are names we turned around and took a bow everyone laughed with us. We left the students clapping and walked to the office I turned to Cat and said "that was awsome they loved us" she smiled and said "hey Lyla it's time to wake up come on you can do it" her voice changed to jakes and the picture started to fall apart and I woke up.
