As he saw the smile on her face, he remembered how long he had dreamed of this moment. He remembered that for over two years he had been dreaming of just being able to go up to her and give her a hug, and feel her warmth, and know that she was truly great full of having him in her life.   Two years ago…    "Hurry up! You're gonna be late for school!"  "Coming, Mother." said Leonard as he walked out of his bedroom.  "Listen mister, you are two minutes late. You better be quick." said Leonard's mom, Mrs. Levinski.  "Mom, don't make such a big deal out of this." said Leonard as he was looking for clothes to wear that day. "It's 6:03, school doesn't open 'till 6:45."  "I know, but I want you to be looking your very best for your freshman year of high school." said Mrs. Levinski with pure joy.  "Are you gonna drop me off at school?" asked Leonard.  "Why, of course. Why wouldn't I? I've always done it since you were in Pre-K." said Mrs. Levinski.  "Yeah I know, but I'm a freshman now, and I don't think that's such a good idea." explained Leonard.  "Are you embarrassed of me taking you to school?" asked Mrs. Levinski.  "To be honest with you, yes. All the other freshman might make fun of me. Besides, I'm turning 16 in March, by then I can drive myself to school." responded Leonard.  "Yes you are, but until then, I drive you to school. Now go shower and get ready because now we're even more late." said Mrs. Levinski.  "Alright." said Leonard as he began doing what his mother ordered him to do.  Leonard and his mom got in the car and off they went to school. The school wasn't that far from where Leonard lived. It was only about a two minute walking distance. Unfortunately, Mrs. Levinski was so over protective that she would rather drive him to school. When they were finally there, Leonard gave his mom a kiss on the cheek and walked off to the school's front doors. When he walked in, a massive gathering of students were standing next to one of the walls in the cafeteria. The students were looking for their homeroom teacher. After the crowd had diminished, Leonard walked up to the wall and checked for his teacher.    After finding his name, he went on to class. "Room 24. Room 25. Room 26. Oh, there it is, room 27." said Leonard as he was looking for his homeroom teacher, Mrs. Gralter. There was a sign on the projector that read, "Students, please find a seat and wait until I return. You may talk quietly among your peers." Leonard took off his backpack and looked around. The room had only five students, including Leonard, and they were girls chatting amongs themselves, except for one girl. The girl was a shy girl with glasses and brown hair. She sat apart from the other three girls and just gazed at the classroom. She noticed Leonard looking at her and and turned towards him. Leonard, being a little bit shy as well, turned away from embarrassment. Leonard was under the average height for his age and that often made him insecure. He had black thick framed glasses and always wore a different color hoodie per day.    Soon after that, more students stated coming in and filling up the room. When the room was semi full, Leonard decided to move next to the shy and quiet girl. He picked up his backpack and he made his way next to the girl. At first, Leonard hesitated, but he had the guts to go up to her. To not make it so obvious, Leonard didn't speak to the girl. After around ten minutes, Mrs. Gralter started class. "Alright class. Welcome to Algebra class. Here, you will learn everything you need to know for finals in an easy way. On the last day of the month, we will have a simple ten question quiz. They won't be for a grade, but they will help me see who needs help and/or where the class is. Any questions?" asked Mrs. Gralter. No one had any questions. Whether it was because no one cared, or because they all had the expectations clear in their minds. And so, Mrs. Gralter went on teaching the class their first lesson. Anytime he could, Leonard would turn around to see what the girl was doing. Luckily, there was a whiteboard where Mrs. Gralter would write equations. So if he looked that way, he had an excuse. ASA he turned to see her, she was writing her name on her composition book. Her name was Juliette Fedgy.    Leonard didn't know how to make a move to start a conversion with her. He decided that he would wait for her to be interested. Leonard would try to look his best everyday. That way, she might find him attractive without him having to risk looking to desperate. The only way to appeal to her, would be for him to have common interests as Juliette. At lunch, she sat with two other girls. Leonard, on the other hand, was sitting at the semi popular table. When he got up to throw away his trash, he saw Juliette walking by. There was an awkward silence that was broken by an "Excuse me." by Leonard. Still, Leonard had yet to hear Juliette's voice. After that, since they had different schedules, they didn't see each other until the next day in Algebra class.
