Chapter IV

The following weekend, as Leonard had promise, he took Rebecca to the movies. It was gonna be cold so he decided to wear a simple white t-shirt and put on a black hoodie over that. Along with that, he put on a pair of blue jeans and his black and white sneakers. He put on some cologne and combed his hair before he headed out. When he went to go pick up Rebecca, he knocked on the door and waited. Rebecca's mom opened the door and greeted him. "Hey. You must be Leonard, right?"  "Yeah. I am." said Leonard.  "Well, Rebecca is still getting ready. She'll be out in a bit. Why don't you wait in the living room with my husband." said Rebecca's mom.  "Thanks." said Leonard and stepped inside.  "So, you're Leonard." asked Rebecca's dad.  "Yeah. So, uh, how's the game?" asked Leonard, trying to make conversation.  "It's soccer. You it's gonna be looking good but ending up tied either 0-0 or 1-1." responded Rebecca's dad.  Before Leonard could say anything else embarrassing, Rebecca walked downstairs. She looked, as always, gorgeous. She waw wearing a white blouse and blue jeans. She said goodbye to her mon and dad and left with Leonard. When they got to the movies, they discussed what movie to watch.  "So, what movie do you want to watch?" ask Leonard.  "I don't know. What do you want to watch?" responded Rebecca.  "How about the movie Project Time?" asked Leonard.  "Okay." agreed Rebecca.  They got their tickets and headed inside. They got some popcorn and soda to share and went to watch the movie. During the movie, Rebecca began to make her move on Leonard. Every few minutes she would scoot over a little closer to him. Then, when Leonard reached for some popcorn, she reached for his hand and pretended to get popcorn too. Leonard didn't mind. In fact, after eating the popcorn he grabbed, he cleaned his hands with a napkin and reached over to grab her hand. After that, the watched the rest of the movie while holding hands. After the movie they headed out and felt the cold air.  "It's a little cold isn't it?" asked Rebecca  "Yeah. In fact, here, have this." said Leonard as he handed his hoodie to Rebecca.  "Aren't you cold, though?" asked Rebecca.  "Yeah, but I'd rather you wear it." replied Leonard.  "Well, thanks." said Rebecca with a smile as she put on the hoodie.  At that moment, Leonard realized how beautiful Rebecca was, so he leaned in and kissed her. Rebecca was shocked at first but didn't resist. She grabbed onto him and he to her. After that, Leonard took Rebecca home and she kept the hoodie. Leonard liked the date. He thought he had done a good job.
