Supernatural High

Chapter 1

                 Mai yawned. "Argh I'm not ready to get up." Mai said as she crawled out of the top bunk of a bed. The girl was named Mai Kakashi and was attending a mysterious school. Well at least it was to outsiders. Mai had light brown hair and green eyes. She looked in the mirror, her hair was all distorted and she was wearing a long sleeve shirt and some pajama pants. "Wow I look horrible in the mornings. Not that I care." She peered around the room cluttered with piles of garbage and clothes. She looked down at the lower bunk and ripped the sheets back. "Mai" someone squeaked behind her. Mai slowly turned around with a guilty sort of smile. The next second Mai was face to face with her friend. "You know we are going shopping today. It is the weekend and you still are not ready to go. You promised." The girl whined. 

             Mai stared down at a much smaller girl. She had long pink pigtails, blue eyes and she wore a determined look. The girls name was Yuii Bara and she was in ninth grade the same as Mai. Mai grunted. "I know I'm sorry umm I think stupid Akiyama turned off my alarm. Wait out side and I will get ready okay." Mai said smiling trying to reassure her friend she had not forgotten. The door slammed as Yuii bounced out the door excitedly. "Err stupid Akiyama where are you!" Mai shared a dorm with her partner Akiyama which in the academy they are attending you had to partner up with people you didn't know and live with them in order to boost your bond. It was her first week at the newly opened school so she was still getting used to the way things worked. "Akiyama!" Mai exclaimed again as she peered around the room. "Where are you." She muttered under her breath. 

             Mai was suddenly pulled back into a tight embrace and she peered up to see Akiyama had pulled her onto his bed. Mai turned red as a tomato and had no idea how to react so she puffed her cheeks out. Mai was told when she was younger that if you like someone and can't control your feelings to puff your cheeks out so that is exactly what she did. Her heart started

beating uncontrollably and she tried to pull her arms to put the over her face but she was captured by Akiyama. The boy had short red hair, yellow eyes and wore a playful grin. "You're so cute when you are blushing I think I could just kiss you." Akiyama said playfully. "Hey!" Mai exclaimed as her face turned a darker shade of red and her cheeks puffed bigger. 

              Akiyama pulled Mai down as he laid back down on his bed. "Wait....." Mai paused for a moment in confusion. "I thought I checked to see if you were in your bed earlier. You turned off my alarm also you jerk you knew I had somewhere to go with Yuii." Mai went on complaining to Akiyama forgetting how embarrassed she was. "Ugh." Akiyama let a sound of annoyance out of his mouth as he covered her mouth with his hand. "I did that on purpose because I wanted to spend some time with Mai and play with her but you never shut up so I don't want to play right now." Akiyama sat up and released Mai and began glaring at her. "How can you just become so comfortable with me in one second you are much more fun when you are embarrassed." Mai started glaring at Akiyama. "Mmmm then I wont get embarrassed anymore and you will have to find a new play toy." Mai said with a smile that would be of a demon. 

                   Mai pounced ready to tackle where Akiyama had already seen it coming and dodged Mai and she bounced on the bed. "Akiyama why did you move?" Mai asked in caustically. Akiyama smiled brightly "I'm not stupid Mai unlike you." He said holding down Mai's arms as he towered over her. "Ehhh what are you doing? Get off me!" Mai began whimpering which caused Akiyama to enjoy it much more. "Mai you should take care of yourself better." Akiyama said in a serious tone and then back away from Mai. "You know I worry about you being so defenseless and ......." Akiyama was cut off by Mai kicking him in the face. "Keep your hands off me and worry about yourself. I don't need a stupid idiot like you to take care of me. I'll return later so I am leaving you in charge of cleaning the dorm. Understood?" Mai glared at him waiting for a reply. Akiyama had his hand on his face and nodded to Mai "Okay I get it now get out of here you stupid cat!" Akiyama shot at Mai. 

                  Mai scurried off to another room and came running back in to grab her shoes. She ran into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. "Stupid demon" Mai said looking in the mirror. Her face was still red from Akiyama. "Why in the world does my heart speed up?" Mai asked as she made a fist and pounded on her chest. Mai removed her clothes and switched into some jeans and a long sleeve flannel shirt. She through her tennis shoes on  the ground and started brushing her teeth in mirror. Mai looked up and for a moment imagined her as a little girl again her parents both standing next to her. She shook her head "No come on I got to meet Yuii." Mai said quickly throwing her tooth brush down and slipping her shoes on. "You better clean this room you stupid demon." Mai said looking at Akiyama who was still sitting on the bed with his hand on his cheek. "Seeya stupid!" Mai called back to Akiyama as she scurried out the door.

                   "Stupid cat." Akiyama said under his breath as he watched her slam the door. "Why'd I get such an annoying partner anyway. She is no fun." Akiyama said kicking the piles of garbage on the ground. "I guess better get cleaning but instead I could annoy the cat. Especially because Yuii likes me." Akiyama said with a devilish grin. He smoothed his hair back and went running out the door. He had already been wearing jeans and a black t shirt with a white shirt over top. "I am gonna get you for that cat." Akiyama said letting a small laugh out and he chased the girls down the hall way. "Akiyama ou are coming with us?" Yuii asked excitedly while she tilted her head to the side. "Of course I wouldn't want to take any chances of two beautiful girls getting hurt." Akiyama said as to act innocent. "Idiot." Mai said with annoyance and then started walking ahead. "Akiyama you are so nice. Especially to Mai. Is there a chance you may like Mai?" Yuii asked excitedly hoping her friend would finally have someone to take care of her. "Of course I like Mai but Mai is a meany and is really mean to me." Akiyama said quivering his lip.
