PROLOGUE
A long time ago they were many creatures who really never fit in. Most of these creatures looked as if they were mostly human but they were small features that made them stand out such as a fin or a tail. These people were formed from the cause of a human and a yokai falling in love producing children. This love between humans and yokai was strictly forbidden and the offspring of yokai and humans were both shunned by humans and yokai. The offspring were considered yokai hybrids and were therefore shunned by everybody whether human or yokai.
Years passed and there begin to be more relationships with yokai and humans. yokai hybrids were still shunned no matter how much the world had changed around them. Soon after there became more taboo relationships there was a law enforced for humans and yokai that they must live separately. There would be no more relationships between yokai without being thrown in prison. The yokai hybrids were thrown into the streets and some were being hunted down to be rid of properly. They had to go into hiding and fend for themselves there were only few humans who would help the young generations of yokai hybrids.
Hundreds years had passed since the law had been made where yokai relationships with humans became forbidden. The yokai hybrids were seen less and they were called ninkai instead of yoaki. Ninkai was a meaning of yokai humans. The things is that people had thought that the ninkai race had disappeared when the truth is that they were still surrounded by ninkai who had adapted to the human life and disguised themselves. Ninkai had become an urban legend to the younger generation of the human race and Ninkai were thought to have finally disappeared.
