Momo and Tzuyu stared at the monitors with their tired, red rimmed eyes. They'd stayed up all night monitoring CCTV cameras throughout the city.
"Has any murder been reported yet?" Chief Dahyun asked them, pausing at the control centre.
Momo shook her head. "Two burglary, four cases of domestic violence, three assaults have been reported so far."
"No murders." Tzuyu added in a weary tone.
Dahyun squinted at them. "Any missing persons case?"
"None." Momo settled at her desk, tiredly rubbing the sore muscles at the back of her neck. "It's only eight in the morning. We'll have to wait some more time."
Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung rushed into the room, gathering everyone's attention. "Our man who's been shadowing Nayeon saw her with a girl last night." Jeongyeon stated.
Momo and Tzuyu stared.
Dahyun narrowed her eyes. Her scepticism was blatant in her eyes. "Why's that relevant?"
"The only night the murder hasn't happened on the set date is when she stayed in." Chaeyoung sprung to her partner's defence. "You can't call that a coincidence again Chief."
"Who's the girl she was with?" Momo sipped her coffee, wincing when she realised it had gone cold.
Jeongyeon shrugged. "Could be a girlfriend. Detective Hung said they looked pretty close."
"If she was really the murderer, do you think she'd change her pattern just for a girl?" Dahyun lifted a questioning brow at the tall detective.
"Maybe she isn't just a girl to Nayeon." Chaeyoung offered. "Even Ted Bundy found love before he died."
Dahyun pinched the bridge of her nose. Her gut instinct told her to trust the detectives. Her training, however, demanded her to follow the rules. "Bring her in for questioning." She turned away from the centre, her shoulders stiff. "Remember that no judge allowed this, nobody arrested her, she was never taken in by us."
Jeongyeon caught on to what she was saying. Sometimes they had to break the law to get justice served. "Yes Chief." She nodded tersely.

Mina pulled the sheets up to her chest, and drew her knees to her face. She was sure she could wake up to the scene before her for the rest of her life.
Nayeon- dressed in a checked red shirt which was unbuttoned and hanging loosely on her shoulders leaving her chest and midriff bare to Mina's feasting eyes, a silver dog tag necklace hanging between her pert breasts which were not confined in a bra, ripped black jeans sitting snugly on her thin waist- was pulling her dried doc marten boots over her feet.
Mina felt a fresh surge of arousal shoot through her.
"Where are you going?" Her voice was thick and husky. She was surprised her vocal chords were still working after last night.
Nayeon's head snapped up. Her eyes caressed Mina's face reverently, then flickered down to her neck and ample chest that were hidden behind the covers. "I was going to run to the corner shop to get you breakfast."
Mina felt a rush of warmth in her chest. Nayeon hadn't said the three words back to her. It didn't matter. She was the kind to show it through her actions. And that was enough.
"When do you have to be at work?" She husked, throwing the covers off her naked body, feet gently landing on the floor, taking purposeful strides towards the older girl.
Nayeon swallowed thickly. "In an hour."
"Mmh." Mina pulled her face down for a slow and languid kiss. She threaded a hand through Nayeon's short hair. It was soft and silky just like her lips. Another hand stroked Nayeon's cheek, trailed down her neck and cupped her breast under the shirt.
"What about breakfast?" Nayeon stuttered, as Mina pushed her up against the door. "Don't you want to eat before you go?"
Mina unbuttoned her jeans. A tongue peeked out to lick her lower lip as she looked at Nayeon through her hooded eyes. "Oh! I definitely want to." Her low voice sent a tremor through Nayeon's body. She thrived on control, it was terrifying to let go.
Terrifying was a wrong choice of word, Nayeon thought, as she bucked her hips against a beautiful face.
Her whole body clenched around the tongue buried inside her. Her eyes squeezed shut. Her back arched against the wooden door. The muscles in her throat tightened as a strangled moan left her lips.
This was exhilarating, elating- like her entire soul was soaring out of her body.
