The atmosphere was very inviting and warm as Y/N, Sapnap, George and Dream all sat down to eat.

She was seated next to Sapnap, who insisted she sit there despite there being plenty of other chairs. Dream and George sat opposite of them to make it easier to converse.

After a few minutes she noticed Dream hadn't eaten anything on his plate, and hadn't even taken off his mask-although he was speaking to George and Sapnap freely.

She tapped the table with the tip of her fork to get his attention and tilted her head curiously as he turned to her.

He shook his head, confused. "What?" She nodded towards his plate, trying to gesture for him to eat, but Sapnap spoke up. "Oh he's kinda self-conscious about his face so he doesn't take off his mask." He chuckled as Dream shot him a look, shoving a piece of food in his mouth.

Dream scoffed, his head leaning to the side like he was rolling his eyes. crossing his arms over his chest as he leaned back in his chair, he tilted his head to look at Y/N.

"I'm not self-conscious." He shrugged, his voice flat with disinterest in the topic. "But I don't know her so I'm not comfortable showing my face."

Sapnap grinned, "So your self conscious." He was poking fun, and Dream started bickering with him.

"No I'm not!"

"You totally are!"

"I just like my privacy, Nick!" He waved his hand, trying to dismiss the subject.

"Privacy? It's your face, Clay."

George groaned as the two continued to bicker, neither budging from their points and refusing to acknowledge the others.

George and Y/N shared a look of distaste with slight amusement, and George nodded his head to the door to the living room, signally he wanted to talk to her without the loud argument overbearing them. She nodded and set down her silverware, standing up with George while the other two continued their silly argument about Dreams mask. They both glanced at the two leaving, but continued their argument nonetheless.

George opened the door for her and she nodded in thanks, turning to face him once she was inside.

He sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair with irritance written all over his face.

"Sorry about them, they argue a lot." He laughed nervously as a loud tell echoed from behind the doors, but smiled as she shrugged, rolling her eyes to indicate she wasn't terribly bothered by it. She just assumed this was their thing. Hopefully they wouldn't get angry at eachother and cause a bigger fight.

George shuffled around a bit, looking nervously at the floor before speaking up. "Oh uhm- I've been meaning to ask, while we were checking out your room, before Sapnap dragged us downstairs before dinner, you looked like you were going to say something. I was wondering what it was?" He looked up, almost hopeful that she'd share her voice and say what she'd meant to.

But instead she nodded, and gave a quick sign with her hands.

*I wanted to say thank you.*

Part of him felt upset she hadn't spoke, but any sort of communication from her was a thing to note, so he smiled anyway. He always enjoyed her company. He'd take anything he could get. "It's no problem, really. I- We're all just glad you're here."

She smiled at him, patting his shoulder before turning towards to door to go back to the dining room. George caught her hand in his before she could leave and stammered nervously.

"Wait I- I wanted to uhm-" she looked back at him curiously, a little startled as he walked up to her, still looking down at their hands as he held her softly.
