As stated in the title, this is a chapter that would be set in the twenty-first century, versus the movie's original timeline of early World War I/1914. These are their favourite television shows and movies, that they like to watch. Enjoy!
Milo:
Any documentary from National Geographic, specifically ones about archaeology, anthropology, and folklore. He doesn't mind nature shows either, like Our Planet or Planet Earth. His favourite TV show would probably be Scorpion, which is one of my favourites too. He relates to the characters and their struggles very much, understanding completely what it's like to have an insanely high IQ, but with no understanding of how normal people work or act. One misfit to another, basically. He's not a movie guy, but I could see him being into whatever you like. The one genre he tends to stay away from is horror, as he is very easy to scare and get frightened. But if you're with him, then he'd love to watch anything.Rourke:
War and military movies and documentaries are his thing. Doctor Strangelove is his favourite movie, only rivalled by Dunkirk or Valkyrie. He doesn't like to remember the First World War, as he served in it. It brings back PTSD for him that he doesn't want. WW2 movies are better for him, while catering to his love for the army. He just loves the suspense, action, and to criticize the inaccuracies. It's not uncommon for him to yell random military themed comments at the screen, and get frustrated. He's a brilliant strategist, so these shows and movies just make him so happy. M*A*S*H* is his favourite TV show, without question. Or, things with dark satirical humour, he lives for those.Helga:
House of Cards and How To Get Away With Murder are her shows. Mystery and thrillers really appeal to this sneaky dame, so anything with a riveting plot and clever cases captures her attention. Sherlock would be up her alley too. For movies, I can see her liking Gentlemen Prefer Blondes with Marilyn Monroe, or any Audrey Hepburn films. She's a classy girl, who wishes very badly that she was around in the 1950s. Seeing anything from that era gives her such a boost, so expect to watch a lot of those style of movies.Vinny:
He's your horror, dystopian, and fantasy guy. A Clockwork Orange ( one of my favourite books and movies ), The Hunger Games, The Mortal Instruments, and pretty much any slasher film is what he likes. He likes dark, depressing, and angsty films with a lot of black humour. Game of Thrones, Outlander, and Westworld are all shows he adores. He's basically one big nerd, who's great to have a movie night with.Sweet:
Medical shows like The Good Doctor and General Hospital. He has vast medical knowledge, and loves to see representation for it on the big screen or on commercial television. He also loves films that are made by black people, his favourite being She's Gotta Have It. He often received hate and discrimination because of his skin colour, and is so proud and delighted to be witness to his ethnicity being celebrated, uplifted, and most of all, given appropriate rights and privileges.Mole:
He's like Milo, liking geology and mineralogy documentaries. But his taste extends beyond documentaries, too. He loves romantic comedies, such as A Walk To Remember, The Fault In Our Stars, and Mean Girls—but don't be surprised to see him digging musicals like Mamma Mia! His favourite movie has to be Beautiful Boy with Timothée Chalamet. He cries every time he watches it. He's not an avid TV show watcher, but that's not to say he doesn't like the show Riverdale. That's his stuff.
