After we had breakfast, Sunoo was supposed to go to school but because of the threat lurking around, he didn't dare to and even Jungwon and Jake decided to stay in.

Jungwon and Jake however manage to contact their sources and requested for security. Their parents however are worried making them send in security. Currently, there are people guarding the whole mansion as they stay in, of course with me.

It took every willpower of mine to not call some warriors in the pack to come here and join in the watch but I know I'll only put them into more risk. They also called their teachers informing them about their future absences due to said reason which they refuse to disclose.

And after all the events, I still wonder what the heck happened here before I met him.

Currently, we're back in his room and I really tried so hard to not force anything out of him. Im getting restless. I wanna know.

"You wanna know ?"

I look up at to him as I held his hand.

"I do but . . you don't have to . . if you're not ready .. "

He held my hand tightly and took in a deep breath.

"Please . .I .  . I'm fine"

"I'm sorry. You deserve to know. I don't wanna be a stranger to you."

I wipe the tears from his cheek before softly kissing him.

"Whenever you're ready sweet cheeks. . ."

"I had a very beautiful childhood. I mean I have my Mom, Dad and a good life. . . but mom died. She's sick. Dad and I , we're devastated but after a year, he re married to my stepmother. She's Jay's biological mother and Sunghoon's adoptive one. . . she's nice at first and I grew to love her but. . after a few months, dad. . he died when they crashed. . . that's when her true colors are revealed. She . . . she hated me and I don't know why"

I pulled him in my embrace as he cried.

"I got you. . no need to be scared ok?"

"She began to . . . take away all the clothes my parents gave me. . she made me wear rags and old ugly clothes. . she loved it when she physically hurt me, every bruise, every wound . . . it hurts. She always slap . . my . . my face and demand me to cover it . . because it's ugly. . she doesn't give me food. . because she said I'm. . I'm fat. . "

My eyes are filled with tears when the image of Sunoo as a child, being beaten, not eating well and crying alone was flashed before my eyes.

How cruel. And here I thought the cruelest man I met is that man before that kicks a child out of his store because the child is filthy.

"I felt alone. . my stepbrothers tried to cheer me up. . . they tried to cheer me up. . give me things. . help me. . but . . but she forbid them. . she beat them and told them I killed my dad. . she made them hate me. . when I grew up, my stepbrothers are now my masters, I'm their slave. . it's out of there will. . but they have to do it for my stepmother not to. . because she's terrible. . I can't hate my brothers when I found out they're also being threatened that if they won't hurt me, they'll suffer too and . . and their love ones. ."

I can't take this. . I an shaking in anger but I also tried hard to be calm, my mate needs my comfort and I'm gonna give it to him.

"I am always seen as a sunshine because I'm always happy. . but. . I am only like that because. . because I can't smile at home especially when there are visitors around . . . she wanted me to be sad forever. . she even make me wear a mask when we went shopping . . "
