XXVI

[Just to share you something guys, uhm apparently I forgot my plot the moment I woke up today and I can't recall what should I do the next chapter as my memory suddenly stopped functioning 😅. So I hope you'll like this new turn of events]

Sunoo

*time skip*

It's been I think a month since the threat and we are already feeling at ease. Maybe my stepmother just loose her sanity and manage to steal a telephone in the prison and call us.

Sunghoon is still working under Jake's dad while continuing his studies and he and Jake hyung lives in two houses. The mansion and their apartment. Jay is also still working in the hospital while continuing his studies to become a doctor. I think he decided that while working as a part timer in the hospital. I am still curious who's pregnant. Nothing is out the ordinary.

Me on the other hand is still me, I spend most of my free time accomplishing my requirements so I can be vacant on weekends because weekends mean, I got to meet Niki.

This particular Saturday however is not the same because we have a group project and we will meet this Saturday.

With a frown on my face, I put on my clothes and head out to the meeting place which is in a cafe. Who does projects in a cafe by the way?

I called Niki to tell him I'm in the cafe once I got there and guess what, I'm first.

It is understandable since it is early Saturday morning but I am just so excited to drive to Niki so I am here first.

I ordered some cake and coffee and as I wait, one of my classmates came with a wave as he sat down.

"You look eager to finish this . . plans?"

I smiled as I nodded.

"I have plans after this so. . . where are they?"

He also ordered his food before joining me. we're actually not awkward as we have our own thoughts so you can call it a comfortable silence.

One by one, my classmates arrived and we immediately got started because fortunately, majority of us have plans for the day.

Hours later, we exited the cafe as I took out my phone.

I was walking to the convenient store to grab some chips when a woman approach me. She's pretty but something screams that she's not just an ordinary person.

"How may I help you?"

I asked when she just stared at me.

Then she smiled.

"Now I see where her desperation comes from. . . you indeed look ethereal"

"Excuse me?"

She let out a laugh. You know, this girl should've been pretty but she's creepy.

She brought out a photo and showed it to me and my body froze.

"Riki . . Riki can you hear me?"

He's not answering and trust me, I got even more nervous that I forgot I can fight.

The photo is my stepmother.

"She crazy? I mean, I thought so at first . . come . .  let's have a seat"

She pulled me and made me sit on one of the tables as she slowly put her bag down. actually at first glance, she's like a normal woman who's just talking to a boy but no, my heartbeat is so loud I'm scared she'd hear me. Is she my stepmother who performs surgery? No, it will take millions to fix her face and to think that this is her face is impossible. If she's this woman, then she must've bathed on the fountain of youth.
