Sad Love Songs

Do you ever feel

Like he doesn't care?

That you have a love

He doesn't share?

Do you ever feel

Like falling apart?

You slit your wrists,

You cut your arms

Because he doesn't listen,

He never does!

And why should he?

You're just a pesky little bug

That won't fly away,

It's annoying to him

But you want to stay

Because he makes you feel special,

He makes you feel good.

They tell you to run away

And you know that you should

Because he's bad for your health,

And he's no walk in the park.

When you look in his eyes,

You see light where there is only dark.

And you like that,

You like it a lot.

It's the idea of danger

That won't let you stop.

You torture yourself,

You know he can't feel

Yet you continue to love him

Why can't you see what's real?

I've tried to stop you,

So many times.

You never listen,

He's only a crime

That you commit over and over again

Until you're worn out.

Every time he lies,

You scream and you shout

Because you know the truth!

You know the drill.

He'll repeat the same words

Until you spill

What you're really feeling.

And now you feel dumb

Because you let him pry,

You let him come

Into your life

Without a single glance back.

You knew this would happen,

You ignored that fact.

Now you're wishing

That it could all be undone,

But it's too late for that.

He's having fun

Toying with your heart,

Playing with your mind,

He's made your eyes

Go unkind.

Your soul is black,

Your mind is empty.

You don't shine anymore,

Your heart is heavy.

And you wonder,

"Where did it go wrong?"

While sitting alone

Listening to sad love songs.
