Love And Lies

    It started out as a normal day, well aside from the fact that Marinette actually made it to school on time. But the classes went smoothly with a light amount of homework assigned. It was normal.

   Up until Mme.Bustiers class. The class knew something was up when Mme.Bustier came in. She was...frazzled. Everyone could see it, but nobody wanted to ask considering her current state. Finally after a few shared glances Mme.Bustier spoke up,"Class, I have an important announcement to make."

   This got everyone's attention, they all looked up at their teacher expectantly. She continued,"As you can see today has been rather rough for me, but for good reason. Seeing as you all have been great students for the past 4 years, we will be having a senior year field trip to an island in the Caribbean, called Nevis. But wait there's more, the particular reason I have had such a stressful morning is because by some mistake our plane has been moved up. So we all must leave monday." The class looked at each other in amazement and erupted into cheers. Their celebration was cut short when Mme.Bustier said," Don't celebrate yet, considering you all will need clothes until the school year has ended, you will have the rest of today and the weekend to pack. You are dismissed."

   After they arrived the four, Adrien, Marinette, Alya, and Nino instantly looked at each other, they nodded and shouted, "Seniors!" They burst out into a fit of laughter and quickly began to converse about the trip.
  
   Alya started first,"Guys we should have like group outfits or something."

   "Dude that would be awesome. Like we could do the...the...the superheroes!"

   "Like ladybug, chat noir, rena, and carapace?"Adrien asked.

   "Yeah!" Alya and Nino said.

As the three began to talk about it, Marinette was having a meltdown. Questioning whether it would be a good idea to do superhero themed outfits and whether she would survive being in such close proximity with adrien until the end of the school year. And worse, how was she going to cover her scars from fighting as ladybug? And she needed to tell chat that she was going to be leaving.

   Little did she know Adrien was thinking much the same thing. Aside from the easy-going conversation and his calm exterior, he too was trying to think of a way to tell his lady and whether the superhero themed clothing was the best idea. He also worried about his own scars, and considering he had taken the most hits between the two he had more. But his biggest problem was going to be his father. He would have a heck of a time trying to get his father to let him go. But he had great friends who were sure to help him convince his father.

   "Hey guys, I don't know if I'll be able to go, considering how strict father is..." He trailed off.

   Marinette heard this and instantly forgot about her mental meltdown. She didn't like Gabriel. She had loved him as a fashion icon and held admiration for him because of his work, but over the years as she had grown closer towards Adrien, she had also seen how Gabriel was as a father, and she didn't like it one bit. That love and admiration for her favorite fashion icon was quickly deteriorating more and more when she saw how he treated his son. Adrien was a great person and didn't deserve to be treated that way. The more she thought about it, the angrier and more determined she became.

   Caught up in her own feelings about the situation she forgot all about her crush on him. She took his hand, looked him in the eye, and said,"Adrien you deserve to go on this trip as much as the rest of us, and probably even more so considering you maintain perfect grades all while doing everything- fencing, modelling, mandarin, piano, everything. Your father should be proud of the son he has, and he should let you come. We will make sure you are on that trip Adrien. You deserve it."

   Alya and Nino were shocked. Marinette had just made physical contact with Adrien and she delivered a full speech without stuttering. Adrien meanwhile, was touched and warmed by the girls words. He was left speechless. Her kind words ringing in his ears. He struggled to come up with something to say as she looked at him with those bluebell eyes.

"T-Thank y-y-you Mari, i-"

"It's true though Adrien, you deserve to go. So I believe we should make our way.." She got up and grabbed her bag," to the Agreste mansion." She walked out. Alya and Nino finally got over their shock and scrambled to get out of the booth. Nino ran out to follow her, seeing as she hated old man Gabe as much as he did. Alya was following suit but turned around, looked at Adrien and said,"You coming sunshine boy?" He looked at her and grinned. "Heck yeah- let's go." Alya and Adrien followed behind Marinette and Nino.

  "Dude, that was awesome, you didn't stutter at all. Also I'm glad to know someone hates old man Gabe as much as I do." Nino said shaking his head.

   "Well it's true. If he expects Adrien to follow all of that without living his life he has another thing coming because I will not stand for it."

  "Right. The man makes me so mad when he expects Adrien to do everything he says and tries to make HIS brand Adrien's life. Adrien has his own life to live. Stop consuming it."

  "Right. Exactly right. Praise sister. Er- brother I mean." They laughed, and continued their walk in a comfortable silence.

  Meanwhile. Alya nudged Adrien and said, "What's got you so speechless, sunshine boy?" She smirked.

   Adrien looked over at her and said,"I have no idea what your talking about." He huffed and turned away. Alya burst out laughing and Adrien turned back and chuckled.

   She stopped and said," No but really, Mr.Cool and Collected, why'd you stutter?"

   "I don't know. I guess it was just the way she spoke. She spoke so passionately, it felt like she cared. And I guess just feeling like someone cared after so long- I guess I was just surprised."

  "Well she does care. We all do."
She said. He smiled, and they continued in comfortable silence as well.

  Before they knew it they arrived at the mansion. Marinette hit the button to speak. They waited for a second and then the camera moved down to look at the group.

  Nathalies voice came through,"Yes Mademoiselle? What business do you have with the Agreste'?"

  Marinette's voice come through loud and clear,"We all have matters to discuss with Monsieur Agreste concerning Adrien and the school.

  There was a pause.

  "Come right in."

So. Sugarcubes. This is a short chapter. I'm sorry. But it is only the first one so like- I'm not mad. But the next chapter will be out soon and it will be longer. Also- there may or may not be some *ahem* love square action. Not gonna say which side tho- I gotta keep you on your toes somehow😂✋
