Love And Lies

  Right after Alya, Nino, and Marinette dropped Adrien off at the mansion, Marinette was interrogated.

"Girl, don't think I didn't see you and Adrien together. What happened? Both of you were so flirty."

Nino chimed in,"Dudette, seriously though, what happened between the two of you? It looked like something out of a rom-com." He shuddered.

"Now babe don't be like that- The Notebook was great," she smirked,"all two hours of it."

"Ugh, I regret my life choices."

They continued walking in a comfortable silence. They arrived at Alya's house first since it was the closest.

"Bye girl, I'll text you later. See ya  Nino." She said and walked into her house.

It was a little awkward since Marinette and Nino didn't talk much unless in their group. But they had begun to get closer. Nino was like a brother to her.

"So, Dudette, how were you able to make so much progress with my bro?"

"I honestly don't know Nino. I guess just the time passing by?" She couldn't necessarily tell him that she was thinking of him as Chat Noir, no one is supposed to know she knows Chat Noir.

"Yeah, I guess I ca-" she clamped her hand over his mouth, shutting him up.

She motioned as if to say, shh I hear something. She pointed to an alleyway that sounds were coming from. The sounds shortly stopped so they continued on. Just as they passed the alleyway a man grabbed Nino and Marinette. Marinette was still on alert from the noise earlier so fought back and got out of the man's hold. She threw her elbow into his stomach, delivered a right hook, and kicked his chest downwards. All that time as Ladybug paid off.

Nino, however was only a superhero once, so he didn't have as much skill as Marinette. He watched as she took care of her captor. She looked over to him.

He had been taken captive by a much larger and stronger man, clearly unsuspecting the strength of Marinette. She tried kicking the back of his leg out from under him, but he was stronger than the other man. Seeing that 'Marinette' wasn't going to deal any damage she thought about transforming into Ladybug. Nino, was, after all, like a brother to her. She could trust him. Besides she rather have him alive than dead because she didn't want him to know her secret. The man was angry already, after the kick she delivered, so there was no telling what would happen if she didn't do anything. So in that moment she decided.

"Tikki, Spots On."

Nino watched in a daze. It's not everyday you see one of your best friends turn into Paris' savior. She punched the man square in the jaw, but he still fought back. He tried to punch back, but Ladybug swung her yoyo onto a light pole causing the man to stumble forward. She used this to her advantage and swung back, kicking him square in the back.

At this point he fell, but Ladybug noticed his little friend was beginning to stir. She couldn't fight them all night, she couldn't beat them unconscious, and she definitely couldn't kill them. So she only had one option left.

"LUCKY CHARM!"

A squirt bottle containing an unnamed liquid came down. She looked around and saw that it had to do with the two men, but was confused. It's not like they are going to run at the sight of a bottle, she thought.

Then Tikki's voice came through the earrings. Put them in a daze and squirt them with it, it'll make them forget anything ever happened. But you must make sure you tell them what they were doing out, otherwise they'll get suspicious.
