Chapter 3- The letter

Recap- Alice receives a mysterious letter hidden inside her Maths textbook saying that Max was the first Target.

I feel my pulse instantly heats up like I was in a Sauna.  I had so many thoughts running through my head that I couldn't even begin to explain, I was abruptly interrupted halfway through my thoughts

" Miss Evans , I have noticed that you have gone kind of pale , is everything alright or do you need to go to sick bay" Mr Brown asked, as I felt 60 eyes stare at me

" I-I'm f-fi-ine Mr B-Brown" I stutter while giving him a small smile.

His look told me that he didnt believe me but honestly I wouldn't either.All of a sudden I feel a small paper ball appear hit my back, I  turn around to see who through it 

" Are you okay , you look kind of pale ?" I turn around to face Bryan Norris - Stoneyhighs new student who was rummored to be the next 'it' guy

"I'm fine , it's just I found out that my brothers , friends, cousins, girlfriends, friends,brother  died - It was extremely tragic. His name was Bobtard ( A/N SEACIDE DUDE, remember him ), his presence will forever leave a mark in my already tragic life"

"Oh , I'm sorry , though how's your life already tragic?" He says with a solemn look on his normally - I don't know face because it's not like I tried talking to him 4 times  and always seemed to stuff up at least once when talking to him

" Oh , my dog pooped on my English Homework and then I married a pole that was named Poley, but hey at least I could Pole dance on him " I blurt out

Gosh

Did I really just say that?????!!!

Bryan blurts out laughing as my face turns a scarlet red, in short I was mortified 

" CLASS SETTLE DOWN , SOME OF US ACTUALLY HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO THEN LISTEN ABOUT YOUR FAVOURITE VICTORIA SECRET PERFUME" Mr Brown yells across the room

As I flick through the book almost 20 notes fell out, looks like mama got to do some reading , argh!

I look at the first letter

You +Me - cafe tonight , we need to talk 

Bryan xx

What great grammar , I think . Hey, maybe thats why he wants to see me tonight to get me to tutor him

It was 7pm when I received a text from Bryan and approximately 7.15 when he picked me up ( not like I was timing or anything or that he opened the door for me at 7.16) After 5 minutes of questions from my parents ( my mum ) telling me how cute and then went on to talk about how he's the only boy besides Max and Ryan that  I have ever hung out with. I did however notice him stiffen when she mentioned Max, I wondered why.

That was well over half an hour ago now and we had only just stopped in front of the Local Restaurant- La Gourmet 

" Thanks for driving me here , I appreciate it"

" No problemo" he says guile taking the keys from the engine

" Welcome to La Gourmet, my name is Suzie and how many people are there" She says with a bright smile

I look behind me and then back to her

" I'm 100% 2 unless we have some unplanned guests" I say 

She then leads us to a table

"Now what may I get you to drink may I recommend Strawberry Lemonade and a diet coke for the lad'

"I don't think that would be good for him , I mean what if I say something stupid like I normally does and he spurts it out all over me, then I would look like I had an accident- I mean I spent 3 hours trying to get ready" I once again blurt out 

I see him chuckle, well at least he's enjoying it

" We will just have what you recommended" He says , while giving the lady a head nod , that only guys can seem to master, Suize then walked away to prepare the drinks

" So Alice, how well did you know Maxwell?" He lands his piercing eyes

I gulped " He was my best friend till I was 15 why?"

"Because Maxwell is and will forever be my twin brother"

"Ryan"

"Miss me" 

Flash Back 

"You can't catch me " I say as I stick my tongue out 

"But Belle , I made you a necklace" Ryan says while giving me a toothy grin , he had just lost his first tooth and was very excited.

" Why do you always call me Belle?" I say as I run up into his arms

"Because you are beautiful and you will always be mine, no matter what Chessca and Max say" 

"You are my Belle too" I say while giving him a slight peck on the check 

"No , I'm a boy, boys are supposed to be handsome"

"No"

"Yes"

All that time we were leaning closer and closer to his lips , and that ladies and gentlemen was when I had my first kiss

"Eww look, Chessca , Ryan is making out with Alice" Mark chaps in

Flashback Over

" Why are you back?" 

" To find the truth about my brothers and all the other kids. I know that if anyone can help me it's you because you were the last person to see each of them alive"
