stan's pov

i was getting dressed since today was the day bill and i go bird watching. i just finished putting on my pants when i heard a knock at my bedroom door.

"who is it?" i asked.

"your mother." a high-pitched voice responded. immediately, i knew who it was.

"come in, bill." i told him.

"ugh. how'd ya know it was me." bill frowned walking into my room.

"i think i know the difference between my mother's voice and my boyfriend's." i replied.

"so you ready?" he asked.

"almost." i said. bill sat down on my bed and i walked to my closet and picked out a shirt.

"will this look nice?" i asked.

"anything you wear looks nice." he smiled. i scoffed and put on the shirt. i got my mini backpack and stuffed it with my binoculars and bird book.

"i'm ready now." i said. he nodded and we made our way out the front door. i waved to my mom and closed the front door behind me.

we walked to the quarry and it really pissed we off since we can't hold hands. derry is very homophobic and we just want to get to the quarry without getting jumped. and the only way to do that is if we don't hold hands. it kills me but i know this will keep us both safe.

once we reached the quarry, i dropped my bag on the ground and sat on the grass. i pulled out the binoculars out my bag and put them up to my eyes, searching for a bird. bill sat behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. he laid his head on my back. i couldn't  help but blush.

a couple minutes later, i spotted a blue jay, my favorite. i gasped.

"billy look! it's a blue jay!" i shouted excitedly. bill shot his head up and searched around.

"were?" he asked.

"2 o'clock!" i replied whilst handing him the binoculars. bill found and his jaw dropped.

"pretty, right?"  i said.

"very." he whispered. he handed me the binoculars back and laid on my stomach. i continued to search for birds and bill relaxed on the grass, looking over at me everyone once and a while. when i couldn't find anymore birds. i laid down with him. the sun went down and we decided we should get home. i sat up and bill followed. i felt something tap my shoulder.

"hey. uhm- i-is it okay if i uh like-sleepover?" bill mumbled, looking down at the floor. "my parents haven't been home a lot and uh it gets kinda lonely."

"of course!" i smiled. around a year ago, bill's brother, georgie, went missing. there was a search party and everything. then a week later, he was pronounced dead. bill's parents didn't do anything. then just left bill and spent time alone. yeah, bill's parents were never the best. but when georgie went missing, they got worse.

third person pov

bill and stanley walked into the uris house. the house was empty. stan walked into the kitchen to see a note.

your father and i are out. we'll be back tomorrow in the afternoon. i went shopping yesterday so if your hungry, there's food in the fridge. don't stay up too late!

love, mom :)

"look's like we have the house to our self." stan sighed. bill went behind him and gave the curly-haired boy a hug.

"movie?" stan asked.

"you know it!" bill giggled while sitting on the couch. stan followed and picked out a few movies.

"okay so there's...split, us, the invisible man or the quiet place." stan said, flipping through the movies with the remote.

"the invisible man." bill said. he's only choosing horror movies so i can cuddle him. he thinks he's slick. let me just give him what he wants. bill thought.

15 minutes into the movie, bill pretended to be scared and got close to stan, almost sitting on him. stan put his arm around bill and rubbed his back. stan didn't mind the cuddling. after all, that is what he wanted.

when the movie was done, the two got up and went to stan's room to go to bed.

" i know you picked out horror movies so we can cuddle." bill smirked. stan's face went red. he thought bill wouldn't notice. but he did.

"what's wrong with that?" stan asked.

"nothing. what's wrong with asking your boyfriend to cuddle?" bill responded, still having a smirk on his face.

"nothing. all though it doesn't seem that way." stan mumbled quiet enough so bil couldn't hear him.

"what was that stanny?" bill folded his arms.

"hm? oh. n-nothing." stan looked away.

"tell me." bill said sternly.

"it's just-doesn't it ever seem wrong? to like...be...gay." stan told bill.

"what? no. why would it?" bill was heart broken to hear stan say this. bill never thought being gay was wrong.

guess stan didn't feel the same.
