{Chapter 21}

stan's pov

i was laying down on my bed, listing to music when i got a text.

losers club

bevie: meet ben and i at the quarry in 10. we got some news.

i sighed and got off my bed and started looking around my closet for clothes to wear since i was in my pajamas.

i decided on a white tank top with blue jeans shorts that stopped right above my knees.

it was supposed to be really hot today so i didn't want to risk getting sweaty.

bill had been in the shower so i figured he didn't see bev's text. i knocked on the bathroom door and waited for a response.

"what can i help you with today, mr. uris?" i heard a voice giggle through the door.

i opened the door and covered my eyes.

"uh, bev wants us to meet her at the quarry." i said.

"stan! you can open your eyes. i don't care and i'll be out in a few." bill replied.

i nodded and closed the door behind me.

a minute later, bill came out the bathroom with only a towel around his waist. i turned around so i couldn't see him. i exhaled a breath i didn't even know i was holding in and turned back around. it's not a big deal, right?

"wow. looked who finally decided to sneak a peak at my awesome body." bill commented, which made me blush.

"are you ready to go now?" i asked. bill nodded and we both made our way through the house. we walked to the quarry since my car's ac  wasn't working and i had to get it fixed.

by the time bill and i got to the quarry, bev, ben and mike were already sitting down on the grass. bill and joined them and waiting for richie and eddie.

ten minutes later, we were all there, waiting for beverly and ben to tell us.

"okay." ben clapped his hands together and stood up. bev followed. ben looked at beverly- a look that was asking for her consent for something. something i couldn't quite figure out.

"you tell them, ben." bev smiled. ben only nodded.

"well, bev and i are dating. we have been for a few weeks." ben announced.

"i'm happy for you guys!" eddie hugged them both.

"me too." bill joined in on the hug as well.

"congrats!" and mike.

"it was only a matter of time." i included.

"break her heart and your ass is grass, hanscom" richie chuckled. "i'm serious though."

we all laughed.

group hugs were kinda our thing.

a thing the losers club did.
