The rain was falling harshly down onto the glass with a viscous beat. The old wooden floor creaked under his shoes, as he paced from one corner of the library to the other. The day wasn't going as planned. In fact, it was a true disaster.

The man hastily ran his hand through his hair. The situation caught him in a rare moment of weakness. Not knowing how it came to this, he let his gaze pass up on the numerous spines of ancient books. Surely, the only thing that could help them now was here?

The man was about to give up, when suddenly, a glisten caught the corner of his eye. Could it be? Without further hesitation, he changed his direction.

As he approached the bookshelf, the book, as if coerced by magic, fell out, landing straight into the ginger's arms. 'The 10 Baka Commandments; By Dover. B', he carefully read he title, as a sudden surge of hope rushed into his chest. Finally! He had to report his findings as soon as possible. This book was sure to contain the information needed to-

In such a haste to get out of the library, the ginger didn't notice a thick mahagony wall right in front of him. Reaching out for the book that fell out of his hands, he quickly glanced up only to be met with the most gorgeous slab of wood.

Engorging in her beauty, he almost forgot about the important piece of knowledge, lying forgotten next to him. It was in this moment a warm and fuzzy feeling bloomed in his heart, for even though he visited nations a many, not once had he laid his eyes upon such a perfect being.

Slowly standing up on his shaken feet, the man spoke with a slight stutter, "H-hey there, girlie! It's your boy, Childe." He bit his lip and raised his eyebrows, hoping to impress the mysterious but enticing stranger.

The wall said nothing.

Not one to be discouraged, Childe continued, "I've been having some sleepless nights just because I need to know..." He looked up at the mahagony room divider with sparkling eyes, "Are you looking for a boyfriend?"

The wall said nothing.

"Haha," he let a nervous laugh slip by.

The wall said nothing.

"WELL LOOK HERE, I WANTED YOU TO BE MY SENPAI, BUT IT TURNS OUT YOU WERE JUST A BAKA!"

Feeling a terrible pain in his heart, he gripped his shirt. It was as if a bunch of shield mitachurls were ramming down his cardiovascular muscle. It was like a precious gemstone being crushed to dust, never being able to shine its pure light on the damned world again. And most of all, it felt like hundreds of daggers were stabbing him in the chest laced with spiteful and cruel remarks.

With tears and snot streaming down Childe's face, he grabbed the book and pathetically ran off, not wanting to face the unrequited love.
