When Onyx flew off to eat dinner with the other dragonets, Angelite got back to work. Seeing as he was one of the strongets, if not the strongets dragon there, he was in charge of lugging materials around. When he was finally done with work, he went with Emerald and Talon to the Sundrop, the most popular resturant in the Glade.
"Why is the royal family suddenly building a tower close to the edge?" Emerald asked once they sat down.
"I don't know, maybe for our protection? I mean, who knows what's out there," Talon commented.
"I don't think so. If it was for protection, they would have built it long before," replied Angelite.
"Whatever the reason, its got us working overtime," Talon joked.
"I don't know why you're complaining Talon, it keeps us busy. I would rather be building than sitting on my tail all day twiddling my claws." Emerald replied.
Suddenly, the night bell rang.
"That's early, any special reason why we need to head in?" Angelite asked.
"No clue, but I don't want to be late. Bye guys, see you tomorrow." Emerald said, flying to her den.
"I'm with Emerald on this one, see you Angelite."
After watching Talon dissappear to his den, he too flew off, not wanting to get in trouble for being late. Upon reaching his den, he saw the other dragons clumped together, arguing.
"There's no reason for us to be here this early. It's not a holiday and we were given no notice!" Snake yelled.
"The bell was rung by a messenger from the royal family, so he have to follow it," snapped Jasper.
"They have no right to take away our free time without prior notice," Sun added.
"It doesn't matter at this point," Flourine cut in, "the bell was rung, we have to be here. No point in arguing over it."
Suddenly, a royal messenger walked into the den. Everyone turned to hear what they had to say.
"From now on, curfew will be 2 full tilts sooner. If that's not enough time to eat, contact an official and we will provide you with food at your designated nest!" With that, they turned and flew off.
"Oh this is bogus," Crystaline growled, "We would have to get off work and come straight here. They know full well no one could eat in that time."
"You've been awfully quiet over there Angelite, what do you think of the situation?"Sun asked.
"I agree that it sucks, but I'm not one to argue with the royal family. I don't want to see what happends to dragons that disobey, do you?" He questioned.
With that Fluorine and Jasper huffed, but headed to their nests. Everyone quickly followed. Angelite laid his head on his claws and wondered what the royal family was up to.
