Nagi POV- naga

Nagi was so excited he was swinging his tail back and forth. BOOM CRACK WHOOoomsh. Nagi looked back in alarm and grimaced, he had done it again. His father came over weaving through the trees at a ridiculous speed and halted when Nagi came in sight. Nagi smiled guiltily at his father, "I got a little excited about the raid tonight." His father shook his head half-amused half-dismayed starting at the young trees that had been pulverized. "You're lucky that the orc's asked us to go on the goblin raid in their place. I heard the orc army is heading to the east to help the beastmen there. I didn't want you to meet with the other naga but with the possibility of war you need experience," his father said with a sigh dismayed.

Nagi slithered up a tree till he hung off a tree limb thicker than himself. His long black hair and arms dangled in the air with his tail cementing him to the tree. Nagas spent a lot of time in the trees when they weren't in their cave or sunbathing. His father cracked a grin flicking Nagi's forehead. "What a little troublemaker," father grumbled. Nagi gave him a pouty face, his eyes laughing, "Am not!" A horn sounded and both of them perked up pausing in their playing and slithered towards the direction of the horn.

Nagi and his tribesmen often worked solo but in raids like these more people were better than one. Nagi had never seen so many of his race together in one place even with the stiff atmosphere. There were only ten of them including Nagi and his father but naga made up with their sparse manpower with lethal abilities. The orcs had promised a territory as reward for annihilating the goblin nest. The squadron of orcs had to move ahead of the army but the army was able to proceed faster than expected, not giving the squadron enough time to clear the area. The nest was placed in a large clearing at the entrance of a cave where occasional groans leaked out. The nagas watched hidden in the branches as goblins bustled back and forth into the forest and camp. Five of the other naga had gone in different parts of the forest to smaller camps of goblins. When twilight hit one of the nagas in the trees blew a horn and they all attacked. The goblin started screaming and running away with few pulling out weapons but most ran crouching to the ground. Green blood splattered here and there with Nagas clawing, biting, and restricting goblins within their embrace. After all the goblins outside had been nullified they headed inside the cave. Disgusted by the sight inside they kept their fangs to themselves as they slit throats human and goblin alike. Nagi watched with big eyes at the sheer number of littered bodies and pools of blood.

As his father slit the throat of a goblin just to about to leave one of the tunnels a human woman covered in red marks pushed herself up to a kneeling position and begged his father to end her life with dead eyes. His father nodded his head in understanding and gave the woman a painless death. Nagi followed his father taking lead in the cave and separated when one of the tunnels split again. This tunnel was quite long and the darkness gloomier. Luckily he had night vision and saw nothing in the tunnels. He finally reached the end of the tunnel lit by a couple torches and finally saw someone. He silently slithered over to the pile of pelts dimly lit by the torches. He smelled the air and recoiled in shock at the smell of something sweet, and the faint smell of goblin that resides everywhere like a disease. The damp smell of cave and grease on the torches casted a heavy musk upon it all the hanging herbs doing nothing to remove the smell. He hesitantly rolled the lump over that appeared to be sleeping amazed by its delicate features.

The goblins treating Kevin well had fed him well for the past couple of days. Kevin was still recovering from a fever that set in from his infected wounds and attempted escape was in a real sleep. He circled it unsure what to do and finally pulled it out of the pelts holding it upright, his coils and the human skin rubbing against each other. The human stirred from it's sleep and clung to his cool coils uncaring of the situation it was in. Nagi could feel the heartbeat through his tail and each movement. He poked the human's face curiously until he saw it's eyes flutter open.

Still half asleep Kevin shook his head at the mosquito that kept poking his face. When he tried to pull the pelt closer feeling cold he froze. Any sleepiness dissipated as Kevin tried to move both his hands. He had learnt a lesson with the goblins that thrashing around only upped their hunting instincts so he didn't move, slowly looking up. Nagi watched fascinated as the human looked at him bewildered. He wondered if it was going to beg for death like the woman. This human seemed a lot better than she so he must have been newly obtained. The human looked at him with big eyes meeting him and flinched. Nagi narrowed his eyes and sniffed the human's nape making it shiver. It could feel who was the prey and the predator. His father slithered in and the human stared at the even larger Naga in horror trying to shrink and hide Nagi's coils. His father's eyes locked down on the human in his tail's embrace. "Why haven't you killed it yet?" slightly confused. Nagi paused and looked down at it, "I think I want to keep it." Father slithered closer flicking the air with his tongue, "It smells oddly sweet almost like." Father paused and shook his head. His father shrugged his shoulders helplessly, "Well you are on your own so do what you like." Giving the human another glance he looked back at his son, "Be careful of it, they can be quite sly, and the other Naga might want to claim it as a spoil. Be prepared to fight for it. The cave has just been finished cleaned out so meet us at the entrance" Father left sauntering out.

Nagi nodded his head, understanding, pulling away from the human. He examined it in the darkness the incisions that covered his arms. Faint red marks went from the boy's neck and waist. "You are mine now," Nagi grinned naughtily baring his fangs and slowly drew closer. Before the boy had a chance to back away he bit the boy's neck injecting a small amount of poison to make him paralyzed. Wrapping the human in a pelt he held it in his arms he chased after his father excited at his sweet smelling pet.
