You slump down into the sports style seat, while Jimin jumps into the drivers side; "go on then... wow me!" You say with a giggly voice waiting for Jimin to start talking.

"It's a Porsche! That's all I need to say!" Jimin smirks turning on the engine and teasing the throttle; the car revving with a growl.

"It's hot!" You laugh fastening your seat belt as Jimin does his.

"Not as hot as me" he smirks and you giggle but you can't help the little flutter of butterflies in your belly.

Jimin sets off into the traffic, Seoul's roads busy with rush hour commuters. As you watch the cars pass by you can't help but think of how good Jimin has been to you! He's been the most reliable friend you've ever had.

Meeting him the day that Tae introduced you as his girlfriend to his group of friends; Jimin immediately hit it off with you. You'd laugh together and whisper things between each other, to the point where Tae would walk off with a huff about being left out, of course you never did leave him out. Just over two years you'd been with Tae, two years of nothing more than what you thought was going to be the love of your life forever and what did he do! Cheat on you! With a girl at the office where you all worked! You specifically remember that night; the night he told you he wanted to break it off, that's how he told you and then when you got upset, started crying and asked if it was your fault, if you wasn't good enough, Tae had cried and broken down and told you the truth. He'd slept with Liza from marketing and that they'd been kind of seeing each other.

What the fuck is 'kind of' supposed to mean anyway?!

You'd called Jimin in an angry but heartbroken rage and he'd come straight over to your apartment; ordering Tae to pack his bags and never come back to your apartment and then Jimin had hugged you tight on the sofa for what felt like hours, but, when you'd broken apart from each other and Jimin had looked at you softly and wiped your tears away with his delicate thumbs, hands resting on your cheeks either side of your face, you'd been so happy that he was there for you! Always there for you! And when he ran his thumb over your bottom lip and told you Tae was a fucking idiot if he thinks letting go of you was the best thing to do, you'd both leaned in and kissed.

It just happened!

And it felt so right! So natural! And for a while you were both lost in it! His soft plump lips kissing yours and it felt like the world wasn't as harsh as you thought. But reality came crashing down when you both moved to take a breath and you panicked! It wasn't right! Jimin's your best friend and you'd just had your heart broken by his friend and it was too much and so you both apologised and vowed that it would never ever happen again!

"Y/N?"

"Yeah?" You answer, Jimin dragging you out of your own head, your thoughts.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah of course, why?"

Jimin drops a gentle hand to your thigh but quickly shifts it off again, "I just worry about you, that's all"

He wishes that was all! How could Jimin tell you that he thinks you're amazing! That he wishes you'd never gone out with Tae, that the first night he ever met you, that he fancied you like crazy and the feelings had never left! In fact, they'd only grown stronger the longer he was friends with you. But being friends is better than nothing and he wanted to make sure you were okay! He wanted to always be the one to catch you when you fall no matter what the cause.

"Don't worry about me Jimin! I'm a big girl! I've learnt my lessons from Tae, it's all good! Anyway, I heard you've been super busy at work today? Huh? And erh, made quite the impression with Jisoo? Huh?" You poke playfully at his arm when he stops at the red traffic light.

"Shut up! You know I don't like her!" I like you

"Whatever!"
