Mika had never been so glad to hear his brother's voice. He collapsed on the floor, feeling exhaustion creep through his limbs.
"Gojo-sensei," Megumi exclaimed, surprised. "Why are you here?"
Satoru raised a hand. "I wasn't planning on coming, but I got Mika-chan's message."
The little deer peeked out from behind Satoru, trotting to Mika eagerly. Mika gave it a friendly head pat before releasing it.
"But man, you guys are roughed up," he drawled, pulling out his phone. "I should show the second-years."
With an annoying laugh, he clicked as many photos as he could of the two of them. Mika sighed, too tired to hide.
When Satoru had his fun, he scrolled through his phone, completely unaware of the situation. "The higher-ups wouldn't shut up with a special-grade cursed object gone missing. And then I got Mika's message."
He tilted his head, flicking his gaze up from his phone. "So, did you find it?"
"Um..." Itadori raised his hand, drawing Gojo's attention for the first time. "Sorry, but I ate it."
Gojo was silent for a second. "For real?"
"For real," Megumi and Mika droned, both exhausted. Mika put his arms behind him and leaned back, letting Satoru do the work.
Satoru tilted his body to an uncomfortable degree and examined Itadori closely. He laughed loudly, much to Itadori's discomfort. "Damn, it really did combine with you. That's hilarious."
Mika rolled his eyes. Only Satoru would find this hilarious.
While Satoru talked with Itadori, Mika leaned towards Megumi. "I can hea-"
"Don't," Megumi interrupted firmly, but not unkindly. "Save your energy. You always like to fly back to school anyways."
They'd been together for a while, but he was always touched by Megumi's consideration. "You probably have a concussion and some fractures," Mika mused, touching his ribs. Megumi let out a pained hiss, which confirmed his suspicions. "Or at the very least, some pretty bad bruises."
"Then give us ten seconds." Satoru stretched his legs and arms.
Wait, what?
"Once ten seconds are up, come back to us."
"But-"
"Don't worry," Satoru reassured him with a cheeky grin. "I'm the strongest. Mika-chan's really strong too!~"
"Stop coddling me."
"Megumi, hold on to this." Satoru tossed the bag he was holding to Megumi, who was sitting cross legged on the floor now.
"What is it?"
"Kikufuku from Kikusuian," Satoru chirped, stretching out his fingers. "It's Sendai's specialty and it's super good~ I recommend the zunda and cream flavor."
"Fuck yes." Mika snatched a sweet from the bag, tearing into it hungrily. He offered a bite to Megumi, but the boy only looked appalled. Mika shrugged. More for him.
Yes, Satoru was the type to buy souvenirs when people could be dying.
"It's not a souvenir," Satoru chided, smiling. He lightly chopped the top of Mika's head, earning a scowl. "I'm going to eat it on the bullet train home with Mika-chan."
"What do you mean? I'm flying home."
"Kikufuku's not like other souvenirs," Satoru chided after pouting.
