I'm Stuck In The Middle

I was lying in bed with my eyes tightly shut.
      
      

     
   
I still feel sleepy but my mind seem to not stop thinking that I can't really fall asleep.
  
       

     
  
It feels like my body was already asleep but my mind was still continuously wandering and clouding.
       
       

     
      
I literally feel so drained and exhausted.

I wanted to command my body to move but it seems like even the coordination within my nerves are not functioning properly right now.

It was like my whole body was not in sync with my mind.

I felt someone sat beside me but I can't bring my eyes to open up to see who that person is but I can guess it was P'Boun because I can smell his scent.

"Rest and recharge your body well, Uan. I will be right here next to you as you sleep." I heard him said almost like a whisper.

I felt his hands brushing away some hair strands blocking my face and I can feel that he is staring at my face intently but still I can't make my eyes move to be able to look back at him.

"Oh God... you are getting warm again..." I heard him say anxiously before he went away.

After a while, I felt him sat beside me again and soon I feel something cold touching my face.

I then realized he was wiping me with a soft cloth that he might have dripped with cold water. He started with my face, to my neck then to both my arms before he pulled my shirt so he can wipe my chest too. 

I just stayed still.... actually it was more like I can't do anything at the moment so I just let him do it all. Maybe he actually thought I was sleeping because I was not really moving at all.

I was so amazed at how patient P'Boun is taking good care of me like this. He was not even complaining at all. There was even no trace, not even a tiny little bit sign of getting frustrated at helping me feel better. I know he is way too tired already but he still keep on taking care of me.

I feel so delighted and assured knowing that I have someone as gentle and caring as him beside me right now. I didn't know I was already crying until I felt Phi Boun's fingers wiping away the tears that have fallen from my eyes.
