As the darkness over takes young Ray, a tiny light comes through the holes in life

A collection of short stories, some written when I was very young, some written now that I am only slightly young. But young is relative. So is good writing. I hope you enjoy these stories. More than that, I hope these stories make you think. Although I am disappointed when reading my writing in hindsight, I imagine every writer is. And a writer who is not slightly disappointed when reading their old works... is not an improving writer. So enjoy these works, even if they are not at the point of perfection- or even at the point of good writing. Please enjoy them for what they are- my first attempts at putting my work out there for people to see. Thank you. I wrote this in the midst of a depressive episode, which happened to be triggered by my anxiety (Ironic, huh?). I normally wouldn't post stuff like this, however, I figured this might be able to help someone else who is also struggling with expressing their own thoughts and emotions around their struggles with mental illness. DISCLAIMER: I am not in any way, shape, or form suicidal. I am simply expressing my feelings in a somewhat metaphorical manner.

The poem is about depression and how one fell into it trying to avoid it by being strong and bottling up feelings coz they didn't want to communicate their frustrations and hurt doing that trying to keep the peace with the closest to them by the way.
