The school prince and his delinquent

Chapter 2

An animal shelter was on the way to shouyou house and his workplace. Just like every day, his legs wandered into the shelter.

"Ara Shouyou-Kun! It's good to see you again" An old lady says when shouyou entered the shelter.

"Konnichiwa Aiko-san" Shouyou bowed. "I am glad to see you are fine"

Yamada Aiko, an old lady with her husband Yamada Benjiro took care of the animals here.

"You are so polite Shouyou-Kun, " she says with a laugh.

Shouyou looked around the shelter before looking At Aiko-San confused. "Where is Yamada-San?"

"He was sick so I am taking care of the animals alone today" she explained with a kind voice.
Shouyoue mouth formed an '0'. "Oh, " he says. "I hope he will be alright soon."

Aiko smiled at the boy. She disliked it immensely when people judged him for his appearance. She doesn't see why people would try to get away from the boy and whisper nonsense about him. Why couldn't see beyond his appearance? It was pathetic to see people judge him by just his appearance. "You are such a polite boy Shouyou-Kun."

"Thank you Aiko-San"

"So I am sure you want to see the pets. Come in" she says as she directed him inside as
Shouyou nodded with anticipation.

The door opened and there were pets inside cages.

"So cute!" Shouyou exclaimed immediately walking to the dog cages.

Aiko-San chuckled seeing his happy expression. "I will leave you to it. Close the cages after playing with them, " Aiko-San says getting out of the room when Shouyou cheerfully responded yes.

He immediately took out a small white fluffy dog who upon seeing him was wagging its tails madly.

"Aww, Shiro! Did you miss me, huh?" he cooed and put it down. The dog barked in response.
He laughed and petted it. He heard a whine and found Ms. Bubbles, a female kitten clawing on the cage door.

Shouyou clicked open the door and affectionately rubbed his head on her fur. The feline meowed. "You missed me too, huh?"

That's how he spent another 30 minutes with them before noticing the time. "Oh no! I am late! Bye," he says and puts them in their cages.
He hastily bowed to the shop owner. "I am getting late. Thank you for letting me have the time with the pets" he bowed and sprinted out of the shop. He walked fast to his part-time job.

"Konnichiwa Hiroshi-San," Shouyou greeted seeing the bakery shop owner.

Yamazaki Hiroshi, a man in his twenties studying medical and running the shop which he inherited from his parents as being the only son. He was a handsome man, black hair and light brown eyes with a tall fit body.

"Oh, Shouyou! It's good to see you, " Hiroshi says walking towards him with a thick book of biology in his hand.

"Me too Hiroshi-San, " Shouyou says putting his bag down on the floor getting ready to work. Seeing that it was a slow day, he decided to try out a new recipe." I want to try a new recipe, Hiroshi-San for a cake. Can I try it?" he asked pulling out his puppy eyes to Hiroshi which wasn't necessary because Hiroshi was a fan of his cake. One of the main reasons he got the job was because of his baking skills and fortunately, Hiroshi has a sweet tooth.

"Of course, Shouyou-Kun. The kitchen is all yours," he says barely hiding the excitement in his eyes.

Shouyou thanked the owner and started baking. There were only 2 things in his life he can feel relaxed. Petting pets and baking. In these moments, no one was there to judge him because of his appearance or his scowling face. He could feel himself getting relaxed.

He finished the preparation. He put the cake in the oven and put the timer. Now was the time to wait. He heard the customer's voice and immediately went to her to take the order.
He bowed and made a cup of coffee for her. He thanked her and seeing no other customer went back to the kitchen. The baking was finally finished. He set out the baked cake and started decorating it. Satisfied by his work, he called out Hiroshi who ran to him with delight.

"Oh my! What a nice cake shouyou-Kun, " praised Hiroshi with drool on his face.

Shouyou chuckled, " I am happy you like the decorations. I will set down the plates." Hiroshi nodded sitting on the chair eagerly waiting for Shouyou to set down the plate.

After setting the plate, Shouyou carefully cut the cake and put the piece on both the cake.

"Thanks for the food, " both say together and took a spoon full of cake and eagerly eat it.

"Oh my! It's so yummy Shouyou-kun! I wish I could eat cake every day, " Hiroshi says eating another spoon full of cake.

"It would be bad for health Hiroshi-San. So should we add this cake to the menu?" he asked waiting for shouyou to give his answer.

"Of course! We will add it to the menu. Can I take the rest of the cake home? Dad and mom would love to taste it! Please," Hiroshi pleaded which was unnecessary because Shouyou lives alone, there's no one to share it with. "Sure Hiroshi-San, " Shouyou says before checking the time. "It's getting late and my shift is about to end so I will see you tomorrow," Shouyou says standing up from the chair.

Hiroshi nodded. "Alright, Crime cases are a bit high right now so be careful," he says with concern.

"Okay. Bye Hiroshi-san,"

"Good Work today"

"I am so exhausted. I don't wanna cook today. I will sleep the moment I enter my apartment," Shouyou says to himself as he walked sluggishly.

"Meow"

Shouyou thought were cut off by a cat voice, "A cat?" He says to himself as he looked around. "Meow" the cat voice came again. 'Is it coming from the alley?' he walked towards the alley, He peeked in slowly and felt his heart bursting from cuteness. 2 small kittens were mewling towards their mother who was...bleeding! The mother cat was whimpering with pain as the kittens were was making loud voices in panic.

Shouyou ran toward the cats in panic. The kitten growled when he kneeled. "Shh, it's alright. I am not gonna harm your mother. It will be alright," Shouyou gently put his hand on the mother cat and hissed when the kitten bit him but he didn't remove his hand. "it will be alright," he continued gently.

His message finally seems to come across them as they stopped growling but letting out voices of panic.

He lifted the mother cat gently and noticed what seem to be a dog claw on her chest. He worriedly looked at the kitten. How will he carry the kittens too? He can't leave them alone here. It's too dangerous!

"Hayashi Shouyou?" A deep silvery voice comes from behind. Shouyou turned to found himself in front of the school prince.

"S-school-prince?" he mumbled.
