The school prince and his delinquent

Chapter 4

Shouyou woke up feeling nauseous, a side effect of sleeping pill. He hated taking the sleeping pills and avoided them until he felt the need to. Most of the time, he can sleep just fine but there are days where he woke up screaming and terrified. Even after moving away from his parent's house, the past still won't leave him alone. He had thought that simply moving away would solve all of his problems but it was a naive thought. If anything, his anxiety had grown more. His mental health was badly affected. However...he was happier than he ever did before. There were no more scoldings, kicking, and locked in the darkroom. He prefers this. Sure there are nightmares and rumors all about him but he would do anything to make sure that this stays like this.

He brushed and bathed. Feeling extremely hungry because of not eating yesterday, he quickly made himself an omelet. Thankful of not getting an assignment yesterday, he quickly started walking towards his school.

He met Akito and Daichi on the way who were laughing about something.

"Good morning guys," he greeted cheerfully.

"good morning Shouyou"

"Good Morning Shou!"

"It's a nice day! Blue sky and Cold breeze! I wanna sleep under a tree," Daichi said, folding his backward resting on the back of his head. He yawned rubbing his teary eyes. Black bags under his eyes.

Kimura Daichi, a cheerful boy, happy in small things and always smiling and whining. He was barely average in studies but he had never treated shouyou like a speck of dirt which more than often what others did. He was a bit shorter than shouyou, having brown hair and black eyes. He was a cute boy, girls always all over him.

"It's morning and we have a whole day left. Why would you be so tired?" Shouyou asked but he can already guess the answer. Daichi opened his mouth to answer but was cut off by a scoff.

"Playing games. I wish he would study instead of playing till morning," Akito answered putting his arm around Shouyou. "You are gonna fail if you don't study Daichi."

Daichi huffed. "You sound like my mother. Hell, she would lose in the competition of scolding me against you."

"YOU!"

Daichi realizing that the bomb was about to explode, grabbed Shouyou wrist who was watching the bartender with amusement and started running away.

"Daichi!" yelled Shouyou as they started running away from Akito. Why was he dragged into this? He didn't even do anything! "Why the hell am I running?"

"I don't know!" Daichi shouted still running like a bullet train.

When walking to the school together, they enjoyed the scenery and talk about new games or talking shit about the teachers but right now, the scenery was a blur and the thoughts were occupied by Akito's anger.

Sasaki Akito, a hot-tempered boy ready to get into fights for Shouyou and Daichi. He was more of a mother-hen always fussing and scolding. While Shouyou was tall, Akito was taller than him. His towering body over the two made them shiver. Despite it, he was a handsome boy with black hair and green eyes.

Though Sasaki Akito and Kimura Daichi's differences were north and south, there were few common things about them. The girls swooned over them, their immense dislike for the girls as they always talk shit about Shouyou and being supportive and protective of Shouyou.

Shouyou still can't believe that he was fortunate enough to have friends like them.

They ran till they reached the school. There was no one in sight.

"I am so tired! Why did you grab me so suddenly Daichi!-Shouyou said, panting heavily checking the time. "We still have some time left before the school start"

"Sorry Shouyou-kun," apologized Daichi.
Shouyou sighed wondering if he should forgive his friend. His legs were hurting and his chest burning from all the running.

"It's alright, Daichi but don't ever do that again," Shouyou threatened Daichi who nodded in fear. Shouyou anger is something he never wanted to see again after that incident. It still gives him chills. "I am thirsty so I am going to the vending machine."

"Okay. I will be waiting for Akito here."

Shouyou made his way to the vending machine and bought the water bottle. He sighed contently as the cold water went down his throat.

"You are early today."

Shouyou spits out the water jumping startled at the unexpected hot breathe on his neck.

"School Prince!" Shouyou said in shock.

Ren stood only 2 feet away from him leaning toward him. Shouyou blushed seeing a very noticeable fit muscled body under the school white shirt. He couldn't keep his eyes off from the naked skin shown.

"So pretty," murmured Ren taking in the beautiful sight. Is the boy trying to seduce him? The boy's face was as red as his hair, beautiful eyes a bit teary with pink pouty lips looking at his chest. Shouyou blushed at the intense look given by Ren.

"Huh? Pardon, I didn't hear you what you just said."

Ren leaned in even more. "It's Alright, Shou-Chan. But you promised you would call me Ren-Senpai," he whispered as he watched shouyou ears turn red from blushing. It's so interesting! Shouyou was so expressive!

"Umm, Ren-Senpai. What are you doing so early at school ?" he asked tentatively.

"The school council student has to reach the school earlier than other students to have a small meeting or about the things we have to do today," Ren explained patiently.

"Seem like a lot of work," Shouyou says as he put a bit of distance between them. His heart would suffer big damage if he keeps staring at that handsome face which seems to be a bulb in its own right by how shining it was!

Thankfully, Ren didn't move closer to him. "Yes but I get a lot of help from other members so it isn't hard or take too much time either."

The bell rang indicating the start of school. "I see. My classes are about to start so I will take my leave then. Thank you Ren-Senpai." Shouyou bowed and after receiving a nod, he left. His face burning red from all the blushing.

"What was taking you so long?- Daichi asked when he saw a red face Shouyou coming from the cafeteria. -and why is your face so red?"

"It's nothing. Where's Akito?" Asked shouyou avoiding the question.

"He had wanted to ask something from the teacher," replied Daichi.

"Ohh, Let's go then, or else we will be late."
