It's safe to say that Alice Cullen is not the most patient vampire in the Olympic Coven. Having the gift to see the future is rewarding, however, it also meant she had to wait for it to come true. Of course, that's also assuming that the future didn't change its course.

The rest of the Cullen's had gotten used to her visions and naturally cheerful personality a long time ago. The glazed over look in her eyes and pause of movements weren't uncommon. They simply waited for it to pass and either her or Edward would explain. So when the day came that Alice was left absolutely petrified after a vision, the family went into a frenzy.

Alice had just gotten back from a hunt when her brain clouded over and the world around her ceased to exist. Her family crowded around her, looking to Edward for some kind of clue as to what was going on. Having only seen a small glimpse of a blurry figure he seemed to have been pushed out of the vision; like a door being slammed in his face.

When she finally came to, everyone was confused. She didn't move from her spot in the entryway or look up at her siblings and mate. Eyebrows furrowed and concentrated on not letting any of her current thoughts slip loose. Everyone sat dangerously still, too nervous to make a sound and ruin whatever internal evaluation she was having with herself.

It seemed like forever for the family of vampires before she finally looked up, a giant smile spread across her face.

"She's coming."

Little did she know that only a few miles away, right across the treaty line, a fire began to burn brighter.
